Personally he's an utter Rolls Royce of a defender and peak Romero is one of the best defenders I've seen at THFC in decades.
But of course the mistakes can't be ignored. But how many mistakes does VVD make in a far better team with far more motivation to concentrate and play well in much bigger games.
It's not good that Romero needs to be motivated to not make mistakes. But I like watching players who ooze class and will be sad to see him go - which seems inevitable. And If Dragusin was a prime example of a recruitment attempt at an understudy/eventual replacement, then we are going to suffer the loss.
I like Dragusin still personally but regardless, Danso and Vuskovic are going to make this a non-issue- it’s not like Romero was all that often available anyways.
