This is semantics but counter attacking is of course also attacking. Just another form.

The big discussion is really if you have control of the ball or not. You can play tremendous fluid attacking football without having dominance over the possession. Just like you can control possession yet produce next to nothing going forward like we are.

On paper, our attacking players are actually suited for a more counter/transition focused attacking style. But we do not play that way.
Yeah but in the words of Ange, "That is not how we do things." On weirdly random occasions Ange shows that he can change and do things properly like against Frankfurt where our fallbacks didn't invert and Bentancur actually at times sat in-between the CB's.

So Ange does know what the basics look like but actively chooses to play an f'd up system.

Iv never witnessed stellar attacking football. Just disjointed all over the place disorganised gung ho amateur stuff. The team literally isn’t coached. Theres no patterns of play. Ange doesnt even manage them in-game. Just stands there hoping something happens.

Now compare that to Poch, when we were an actual force. And you saw the full backs Rose and Trippier with the overlap stuck to the line linking up with Son and Alli down the wings. Son and Alli passing it between Eriksen with the creativity. Dembele moving the ball forward from defence to attack. Kane holding up the ball and passing it off to the wing and getting himself in and around the box for the cross. The pressure off the ball and fast pace.

Light and day. Like comparing Pepsi Max to Morrisons own brand.

Win or lose the Europa League we need to move on from Ange. The thought of another year of him in charge is so fucking depressing.

His football might work when you’ve got the best squad in the league but at this level being well drilled and coached is significantly more important, as Nuno proved.

I work on sites and run into Woolwich/Spam/Chav fans daily. This year has been absolute cock and ball torture listening to them chirp.

Thanks for the first 10 games of last season Ange and good luck in Europa but kindly fuck off in June.

All this pain would have stopped if we lost to Coventry in carabao cup in September. He would have been sacked then imo.

This is the thing, he keeps pulling wins out when he's basically about to get sacked. Although technically he's been on the verge of the sack all season. He basically survived Coventry when he probably would have been sacked. Then he survived Tamworth when he sould have been sacked. Then he survived Frankfurt.

And we have nothing to show for it, it's just prolonged the misery.

I've never seen anything like it. I've never seen any manager survive results like this.

So basically Nuno came to town and won easily with 30% possession against a supposedly superb, entertaining and progressive philosophy...Angeball. Lol

It feels like we've seen that sort of win at Spurs before.

It's like a good manager knows how to counteract the oppositions tactics. It might not always be pretty, but very often effective.

The biggest thing that winds me up about him, is that he doesn't seem to realise the problem, or he just doesn't know how to fix it.

He cannot set a team up to be competitive in the PL, that is the long and short of it.

Every game we lose, he sits there and says we played well, there's no indication he will change it, try to do something different.

He's the worst manager I've ever seen. I'd genuinely put him right at the bottom.

That Milesy the “interview” chap from the club….

He is the absolute epitome of the mentality that puts this club in the sorry state it’s in.

Always an excuse, always a “we tried though…eh?” I honestly think we could lose 25-0 to Liverpool next week and he would start with “our white shirts looked lovely in the sunshine though Ange, and that’s the real win isn’t it”.

Muppet.

I've seen that one clip of the nice goal against Palace about a hundred times by now as the cultists use it a lot in his defence.

You're being a bit harsh on Morrison's there tbh

its not even close! whos worse? hes literally some sunday league manager that has waffled his way here talking shit and fooling idiots. i actually think most sunday league managers would do better. how can they do any worse? your average idiot football fan would do a better job than this fool.

he will be laughed at in years to come...

Eh,

I cannot be bothered by Milesy being a happy clapper since that's his literal job. His job is to do interviews and paint things as positive as possible.

There's a mentality issue at Spurs but I don't think that it stems from the club interview guy.
If he criticised the club he would be gone. Darren Ambrose (spurs fan)criticised Levy on Talksport and later lost out on a job he was booked for . Well done Daniel.

Lets be honest, the only reason we are where we are in the Europa league is because we have close to 600m in revenue and 230m wage bill and weve played the likes of Alklmaar and Bodo. The win against Frankfurt was good, but they are hardly an elite team.

Bodo glimts best player earns 400k a year and most players are on 50-100k a year. Thats 2nd division pay.

Average wage at Alkmaar is 7.5k a week and Troy Parrot top earner on 20k a week.

We probably do need to, and I agree.

However, when we do and we move on to a new manager who has a period of struggling, I can guarantee there will be fans moaning we sacked Ange and that we got rid of a manager who won us something. Please, bookmark this. It's our fanbase to a tee.
