Premier League Managers' contracts are wonderful things.
I think they had key players missing through injury or suspension.
I should imagine the thought of the huge payoff to come compensates!
Only reasons you'd come to Spurs is money, living in London and the facilities. Plus, there's no real pressure...everybody eventually fails here, winning is nice but not compulsory, defeat is acceptable.

If we lose on Thursday he will be sacked. If we win he lives to fight another day.
Because that's how manager contracts are worded.
As long as he is fired solely on performances, he gets a pay out to void the remainder of the contract.
It is a different scenario if say he gets into a fight with a fan. Then he can be terminated with cause.
There's not a single manager in football that's going to sign a deal that says that they get no compensation if they get sacked.
I doubt he comes home from work tired and stressed.

I don't know, I imagine he spends his days thinking about his next press conference and thinks, "What can me and my bestie's in there talk about this week?"
He probably has a ginormous list of topics and probably expands on them.
Then there are team sermons that he has to give. He probably has tell the team about when his dad got lost going to find a free mattress when first moving to Aus.
I am pretty sure that Ange works very hard on everything but tactics and training. While managers like Frank are in before 6am and leave after 8-9pm and all they think about is how to improve on the previous game and fix the mistakes and then how to win the next game.
His excuse yesterday was atmosphere, which is strange because it looked pretty tame and the Frankfurt atmosphere looked 10x better.

I'm sorta surprised by that - I didn't remember us being that bad despite keeping a match diary in my school homework book at the time ^^
By the same token, most people will remember us being pretty crap in 1999 and 2008 when league results were objectively better than 1991. I think the style of football makes a difference, and obviously that semi final win in 1991 made memories as well.
