Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You may well be right but I think that the reason Levy hasn’t fired him is probably due to a clause in his contract about still being in a major cup competition which would mean an extra pay off!

If Bode knock us out he’s gone imv

Well that's dumb because we've pretty much thrown the league, the lower you finish down in the table the less prize money you get so that wouldn't make any sense.

What's more likely is loyalty to Ange and optics of not wanting to sack another manager whilst in the latter stages of a cup competition, the club do not want a repeat of Mason ball.

They ignored the manager and did their own thing. Apparently. Or how else could that have happened?
It was called Chris Davis and people on the board at Spurs are fully aware of this. Was told this plain. It's part of why Ange will not win the Europa and be simply forgiven. It's just you left thinking he was some how good but now he's not I'm afraid.
Matt1882 Hang tough it's done don't stress he's being replaced. It's an open secret at the club.

As Shadydan Shadydan said, I can’t believe that’s the issue. We’ve lost millions on our league placings, so it would have to be a pretty hearty contract break fee to make it worthwhile. One I just don’t see Ange having.

I think it’s more that Levy has seemingly tried everything to make the club a success and has failed at every turn. The only two things he hasn’t tried is spending more on fees and wages than anyone else (never happening), or giving a manager, any manager, multiple seasons to get things right. Maybe this is him giving option two a try?

Not to mention the player value losses. I know that's not tangible assets but still...

why not try "Ange Ball"? sounds a bit like "Baz Ball".

So barcelona play Ange ball but with world class midfielders and attackers... yet concede loads due to it being so open... so Ange ball can just never work no matter how good your players are as top coaches and opposition players will always exploit your open defence
So the manager that won a sixtuplet (CL, Bundesliga, German Cup, European Super Cup, Club World Cup, German Super Cup) is playing Angeball?

So Hansi Flick, whom everyone and his dog has been banging on about as "really knowing what he is doing," would fail spectacularly in the PL as well?

I honestly wonder where he's keeping the pictures of the players having "fun" with goats for them to say they're 100% behind him.
when i was (some might say).. a mediocre manager (not necessarily a football manager in case anyone gets any ideas).. I would ask people to look "happy" when near me. Those were the days. If they weren't looking happy I would question their integrity (are you looking at me?.. you wanna fight or something?). We all nodded and it was FINE !

I think we'll win Europa, so its a moot point but if we were knocked out this round I think you let Postecoglou finish the season and make a change in the off season. There's nothing to salvage so no point in bringing in a caretaker. Win or lose, I think Postecoglou is firing himself with this incessant critique of the people who want him gone. Does he actually think he can save his job by going before the press and being angry about what has been said about, as if that will persuade his critics or intimidate the club into keeping him? The best outcome for everyone is he wins a trophy and then he and club work out a separation.

So Chris Davis is the new manager then?

I think he's gone if we get knocked out IMO, immediate future depends on Europe.
