Bollocks. They weren't great but they certainly weren't shit, by a long stretch. Bar their goal - they weren't that dangerous because we snuffed out a decent amount of their attacks and any close chances they had to score.
With their injuries and suspensions it was far from their best team. It was an incredible opportunity for us and I felt we could have gone up a gear to really kill the tie off. Maybe a bit greedy but we’ll need to be better in the final.

I will just be so pleased when he is gone.

I don't think he brings anything that I like to the team.

Not blaming him for the goal conceded today, but I have zero idea what he stands for and no confidence that he navigates next week. I really hope I am wrong.

It felt like a practice match for long spells

We were far from breathtaking but completely dominated in every way

Second leg will be very different

I don’t know what people expected. They don’t win away other than incredibly rarely. We’ve had a poor season but we are still a premier league team with internationals everywhere and clearly were going all out.

Huge quality gap. The fact people want to credit Ange for something like this is overwhelmingly embarrassing.

They've typically stunk away in this comp but banged at home.

Will have their players back and a tricky artificial pitch they know every inch of inside out.

Really, we should have won 4-0 tonight, the way the game panned out.

And needed to come away with 3+, at least. imvho

They will attack from the off i worry we will try and match them. We need to play on the counter there and be smart

The important thing, aside from keeping the near impossible clean sheet is to make them work very hard for their goals. That is essential. Drain their energy.
.

We need our mentally toughest players on that pit h next week, if possible.

Not sure if it's just away form home, but tonight they did seem to be press-fragile.

I think that that would be the ideal gameplan for us.

The only problem is, Ange has not got a clue how to set-up a cohesive press-plan with measured triggers.

We, invariably, end up a shapeless mess with massive holes in it.

If we had a competent manager I'd be much more confident.

Factoring everything in - I just can't see us winning there.

For me we needed to win the tie tonight and put it to bed.

And they gave us every opportunity to do that.

He's a fucking idiot.

And people asking me why I'm concerned about the second leg... fml
hes the sort of idiot to start son if hes fit, that will cost us. have to start dom and richy up top in this comp. we need madders starting too abnd VDV and romero to stay strong and we have a chance.

but youre right, the fat clown is a worry with his subs, hes so out of touch with football hes only going to do damage.
