Every stat needs context like you said. A key pass can be absolutely fuck all but it can also be a defense splitting pass that didn't get the finish it deserved

XA for example at least attempts to measure and put a qualitative value on the actual pass. Thus, not all stats are equally vague.
XA is more specific but also needs context

I thought Kulu did ok today. I'm not sure how hard is trying to play Ange's instructions but it seems like a lot, which is not good for him. He like many others need a better coach who can help instruct us in better passing play.
