I don't think he would

I remember Modric made Assou-Ekotto look great

Every player could make forward runs when he had the ball
yea thats true! but look at how modric was perceived once he went to madrid! all of a sudden (after the first year) people actually gave him the respect he deserved. modric was unreal at spurs but he was surrounded by players not on his level.

rodri is a little like xavi in where hes sort of like the anchor to teams that have lots of ball players that can keep the ball well, its an easy game when you have a bunch of players that can keep the ball. next year might be interesting for him, city losing a few of their technical ball players like KDB, grealish and silva and are forced to play more wasteful players like doku. rodri will be exhausted in no time.

Back in Europe

Ange was asked how much he's looking forward to being back in European competition...

"I am really pleased to be back there and excited to be back in it. I spoke about it last year that it was a real gap in our calendar and didn't help us at certain times of the year not having regular football, that challenge of playing different types of opposition and exposing our whole squad to some meaningful game-time. And the worst thing was sitting around watching other teams play in it. It didn't sit right with me so being back in a European competition is important."

I’m finding it really hard to keep my promise of suspending criticism of this clown until after the final, specially with m*****c statements like this one

17th in the league.

Last season I said it. I was in the minority, but I said it.
Lose the next 2, which is likely, not just possible, and we finish the season on 1 point per game.
I showed how, over every period of games after those first 10, that the ppg was tumbling downwards at an alarming rate.
That began LAST season. No Europe. Out of the league cup at the first hurdle. No FA Cup run. And STILL the ppg was getting worse and worse.

If this guy is here next season, we're in actual trouble.

We were 4 points off 2nd place in the league after 12 games this season - and then VDV, Romero and Vicario were injured. Not long after, Davies was injured; then Forster, then Udogie and then Dragusin...... Losing the core of the defence fucked the season, then their backups got injured.

I can understand the poor league performance through the lens of the injuries, and subsequent the focus on the EL post Feb. But whether we win or not, you cannot take the same manager and same group of players into the following season without significant risk of relegation. Psychological damage is done and whatever happens in Bilbao we need significant changes this summer. New manager, new coaching team, at least 3-4 new first team players, even if we have to sell to buy. I remain in favour of Oliver Glasner, and the way his team showed aggression and desire, following a well laid out plan and playing style, against us in what was a dead rubber for them as well showcased his managerial talents. I'd also take Frank from Brentford who is over performing with an inferior squad.

If we win the EL , do you think Ange will be able to rotate effectively for the CL next season? Effectively being the key word.

I'd love Glasner as well - but he reportedly doesn't have a release clause in his contract and Palace supposedly want 20M. so that's likely a hard pass from Levy.

Obviously I want to win the final

But the thought of having to celebrate with this vile vile person sickens me
We're not winning it, mate. The whole loser mentality built up around the club means United's name is already on the trophy.

They'll be more up for the fight and more determined to secure CL football whereas Levy will worry about the increased expectations CL football brings with a summer transfer window looming around the corner.

He'll, man....the club has already started celebrating reaching the final as some kind of achievement

But we had already dropped points against Leicester, palace, Brighton, Ipswich, Fulham and Bournemouth.... losing 4 and drawing 2.

Shocking and that was before the injurys.

You misunderstand me mate, everything you've said cannot be argued as it blindingly obvious this fraud should never have been appointed let alone need to go, but there are scoundrels like Richard Arlison Richard Arlison who need to be asked the question point blank because despite claiming to have seen the error of their ways, they still support the fraud as evidenced by an outpouring of support for a man who has us in 17th place with 20 losses after beating a League 1 team on Thursday.

What question do you want me to answer?

Do I keep Ange if we win EL?

No, I don’t because his decisions for building so young are the reason we struggle so badly without our main guys. His rotation as well.

But if he finishes 5th and wins EL in the two seasons after selling Kane, he’s objectively the most successful manager in the 43 years of my life and I’ll be grateful to him for the rest of my Spurs supporting life. I know he’s an AEK fan, which is another ENIC survivor and I’ll follow his career when he B ends up there,.

Plus he bedded in the likes of Bergvall, Gray, Udogie, Sarr, Odobert and Moore. We will get the benefits of that for years to come.

People get too emotional about another grown man. You can see that his time is up but not have this weird irrational hatred of someone that’s always defended the club.

Fuck Off

If You believe that, you have a losers mentality

Grow a thicker skin and have the spine to stop talking down our chances in case we don’t win.

Ange making excuses but it’s on him to know if his squad was ready and built for 4 competitions this year snd it clearly wasn’t.

But I have zero problems with prioritizing the one we can win now.
