I hope he goes but he leaves with a trophy and on a high .The league form for close to two seasons has been atrocious and the number of losses cannot be tolerated .I very much doubt we will do that much better in the league next season if he is in charge.

It’s exactly the Ten Haag situation last summer but exacerbated because we don’t win trophies regularly so emotions are heightened.

They kept Ten Haag, it was the wrong decision, and fucked them over for the next year. We are probably going to repeat that mistake.

Sometimes the hard decision is the right one. Keeping him is probably the easy way out.
And Amorim's achievements proved that the problem was Ten Haag and that he was rightfully sacked.

No idea which of us would have taken 17th and the Europa at the start of the season, im guessing, very few of us.

But we are winners now. And what we do with that is up to us.
The season has been a shit show, however we are now European champions & that is all that matters and I will happily put my differences aside with Ange and give him the credit he deserves for getting us across the line, it also pains me to say it but Levy deserves some credit as well as he could have easily sacked Ange months ago but he stuck with him and now we finally got the dream of seeing Sonny lift the cup!

It still doesn't feel real!!!! Fucking Champions of Europe!!!!!! :ange-arms:

We can’t sack him, I’m all in

The players ran through walls for him last night, he’s changed the culture of our club, done what no one else could do, even Poch

He’s also shown he can adapt his tactics when needed

He deserves next season and I think he’ll get it, and I’ll back him the entire time he’s here with us

I’m worried that the well is truly dry now, and that come the weekend we’ll see the same as every other league game this season.

Would be a different situation if the performances were of a similar trend of last year, where we yoyo’d a fair bit. This year however we’ve been consistently pretty shit in the league, and I can’t say I’ve seen us build towards a particular style of play, or even seen any patterns of play.

Let him leave on a high. It wasn’t pretty but he’s succeeded where better managers have failed, and will always be remembered for that.

Fuck it.

I've completely flip-flopped.

He has to stay.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou delivered an emotional speech to the families of the players during the team's after-party on Wednesday evening.

He said: "I made a big thing for us as a group about family this year and how important family is. These boys, I'm so proud of them, and the staff. They have been the best family that I could ever be associated with.

"More importantly, it's everyone in this room - how you have helped these boys become champions. They truly deserve it. They are outstanding people, not just outstanding players. I could not be more proud to be their manager.

"I want everyone to enjoy tonight and what it means because you are all, every single one of you, deserve it from the bottom of my heart. I have never been more proud to be the manager of a football club than the manager of these players and the people with me.

"You, the families - I played a video before the game and it inspired them to win this game today. Every single one of them is a champion. Well done and enjoy the night."

The funny thing is, after several months on it, I took you off ignore this morning.

Back there you go, muppet.

I still think that he’s the wrong fit overall in terms of the league, but his management in the EL has been quite the juxtaposition. He’s animated, implements tactics, is more thoughtful on substitutions and reacts to the game better. And shithousing the second half with 3CBs too was lol.

If he applied the same in the league we’d be in a much better position. I’d imagine the majority of Spurs fans would take the EL over finishing 4th (or 5th) this year, and had we finished 10th-14th I suspect there’d be much less clamouring to move him on.

21 defeats aside in the league (which is a big aside) you have to let him start the season. Even if you know it’s wrong and may end in tears.

But Levy might just give him a little more quality now. And that might just pay dividends. Ange has some ammunition now.

I mean, winning last night was maxiumu banter - no other fans are able to say a word - was a terrible game - not one for thenutrals at all - but not one knows how to react - every other footie fan is just baffled and lost for words - its amazing.

Yeah, it is a strange one. I definitely felt more immediate joy in '08. This one is less immediate joy and more of a long-lasting happiness because it just gets better and better as time goes on. 41 years is beyond my lifetime. I only ever read about this one looking at pictures in a Tottenham opus.

The fact it was with the worst PL team just gets funnier / more of a relief every day. There are beyond my lifetime historical areas of my brain i did not know I had tension in that are gradually releasing. I fucking grew up watching Gary Doherty and finishing 14th in the league. We only dreamt about qualifying for the Uefa Cup, nevermind beating United 4 times in a season casually.
