He just needs to find the balance between defending and attacking.I’ve been Ange out since early in the season. BUT…
I think he should get another season.
The guy needs to change how we defend but he isn’t an idiot. He’s not clueless or out of his depth like some of our managers have been. He’s not lost the respect of the players.
And he has won something meaningful which others simply have not. What does changing managers do now? Just puts us back where we have been, the new manager would probably fail like all the rest.
Better to stick with a guy who despite his flaws somehow got the job done anyway. And who clearly believes (genuinely i think) that he can deliver more. What does changing managers we lose from giving him a chance? It’s not like we have someone like Pep lined up to come in to almost certainly do better.
17th? Who cares, once we weren’t getting top five the league didn’t matter, that’s why we finished where we did. And arguably we didn’t challenge for top five because injuries killed our season before Christmas.
So I’m Ange in.
I’d get someone in to help him sort the defensive tactics out though. There’s just no need to be that suicidal against teams with good attacks.
Can't wait for season 3. Fingers crossed all the tinpot fans who didn't enjoy season 2 have fucked off by that point and we can get fully behind the team / manager. Maybe in the process put as much pressure on the ownership / board as possible to make sure the correct signings are made.
Well at the end of the day if he’s replaced we’re back to square one again, every one o they names mentioned in the replacement thread are no an instant fix it’s another 18 month in the wilderness at least we what we’ve got he’s settled, squad is settled and are with him so another season is no the end of the world , it’s not like we’re going fall further behind .
How can you criticise Spurs fans for not enjoying the worst season in living memory up until Wednesday night? Winning the trophy doesn't erase the 9 months of fucking shocking shite football. We finished 17th. Yes we can forget about that now and enjoy the trophy but it doesn't mean all those 9 months of football were anhy less shit.
How have you watched the whole fucking season and not worked out that Ange's system and tactics have been brutally exposed by almost every single PL team including relegated Leicester and Ipswich?
It's nothing to do with correct signings, they will still be coming in and playing under a manager who hasn't a clue unfortunately.
You just won't learn will you? How much mor evidence do you need?
Emotion and sound bites from Ange on a mic isn't going to win us 3 points regularly next season under Ange, sorry to say.
This is the Ange thread, there's another thread about the final. In this one people will be discussing Ange and his merits and his future as alwaysThere is a time and a place.
This isn't the right time. And you know it. Or should.
You just won't learn will you? How much mor evidence do you need?
The Poch era had completely broken as of about the first of the year 2019, following on from the yearlong self-imposed transfer embargo by Levy.I guess I don’t totally understand your point in the second paragraph. I consider the CL final run to be emblematic and a deserving run for how good we were in that time.
17th and the Champion’s League title is fine with me
We had better footballing accomplishments and played far better ball in that era. If you think Winks Sissoko was difficult to watch you should have seen Spurs 24-25.The Poch era had completely broken as of about the first of the year 2019, following on from the yearlong self-imposed transfer embargo by Levy.
The CL final run was the era of the Winks-Sissoko double pivot and the total disappearance of Kieran Trippier's form.
Played comprehensively off the park by City and Ajax, and took 11 points from our final 12 league games.
This "reaching a CL final is true greatness, unlike winning the EL" narrative does not fit the data of the absolute shower we were by the time we got there.
Some of us just want to enjoy the trophy , we don’t get many moments like this so why not just give it a rest ?It’s unlike you to be such a rude prick.
I’m entitled to my opinion as you all are too.
I’m not stopping you from anything- I’m typing in a chat room. It’s extremely strange you can’t enjoy your life because I voiced my opinion respectfully in a chat room. Some of us just want to enjoy the trophy , we don’t get many moments like this so why not just give it a rest ?
Oh yea it fucking does!!!!Winning the trophy doesn't erase the 9 months of fucking shocking shite football.
I bet you’re fun at parties mate!I’m not stopping you from anything- I’m typing in a chat room. It’s extremely strange you can’t enjoy your life because I voiced my opinion respectfully in a chat room.
Especially if you subtract Romero and maybe Kulu from the squad, per the rumors. Levy will never invest at the level that would be needed to take us higher than we were before we lost one (or both) of them. We will very likely get token replacements and bargain shopping only, as always with Levy. This is like when you know you’re drunk and one more shot is going to make you sick in the morning, but fuck it I’m feeling great right now so one more season!
(Definitely think we’ll be hungover in October).
