I agree with you but I can’t sit through another season of his football. It’s shit sitting there waiting for us to concede goals the same way game after game. It will be the same next season and if he’s here we’ll be in deep trouble.

I still don't understand people saying it's exciting or fun to watch. It's fun for neutrals and opponents sure, but I don't give a fuck about neutrals and rivals enjoying themselves.

Levy’s best bet is to wait for it all to settle down and try for inzaghi or get Poch out of his contract. I’ve a feeling though it will be quiet until the 1 July when Paratici comes back and if he’s replaced we will unveil a new manager along with him. Just like he did with Arnesen/santini/jol.
the fact its all been very silent makes us think there's a chance with inzaghi hahaha, we will all be waiting for the morning after the CL final....its the hope that destroys ya.

why has it even broken down with inzaghi at inter if hes been doing really well there?

If Levy wants to sack him - he can't until Ange gets back from his holiday.
I suspect one factor will be their personal relationship.
It normally ends it breaking down - and the manager mouthing off about Levy and the club.

Ange has sort of done it - but nowhere near to the extent others did. We forget how crazy Poch went in the press towards the end. We don't know what is happening behind the scenes.
I get the impression the personal relationship between them is virtually non existent and has been for some time. I'm not saying that's a good or a bad thing, just how it comes across to me.
I've been critical of Levy many times, but I don't think he'd make his decision based on this anyway.
He did have a good personal relationship with Poch, but a poor working relationship which is why it ended how and when it did.

Whether there is any truth to this or not I believe he will stay and the club will look at the injury crisis and point to that as a factor of the poor results in the league.

I wonder the reaction around here if i told people before the season started "We'll be forced to start Archie Gray 9 times this season.... at CB"

I'm sure everyone would expect a fantastic season

Is than an objective fact? I read during the week that we've a 70%+ win ratio when that back 4 are all on the pitch together. We conceded 2 goals in our last 5 Europa League KO games with that back 4 starting.

I think most of those 126 goals conceded came when the likes of Davies, Dragusin, Gray, Dier and Emerson were starting in our back 4.

Availablility is a huge problem and we need more able back up. Danso looks good back up. I still think we need to improve on Spence and Dragusin. But that back 4 when on the pitch together is very very good. Player for player it is one of the best back 4s in the league and certainly one of the best I've ever seen at Spurs.
A lot of the goals are down to fat face tactics

Porro in the number 10 position leaving big gaps in behind....the cm has to come across to cover leaving gaps in the middle

In short..team shape all over the place

All down to fatty tactics

Yeah I don't think it's about them getting on as mates as much as a level of trust that the manager is a good steward of Levy's money.

Every player Levy has spent real money on for Ange has immediately and permanently become a core member of the team, and he's rehabilitated the value of a few more, and never exiled anybody from the team or torpedoed the status of a player we have a lot invested in. That goes a LONG way with Levy, Ange's predecessors were cavalier with the players as financial assets in a way that drove Levy insane.

If Ange stays, that's why.

If he goes, well, keeping these high-priced players fit and turning them into points on the pitch is ALSO a matter of stewardship of Levy's money, and Ange's record is a lot less impressive in that respect.

The mental gymnastics is strong with you, therefore Ange didn’t get us the league position? But yet fans call for his head?
:ange-hmm:
I smell, smell agenda and the usual rule bending. I think if you looked a little deeper than your out look Poch got us to a few finals and semifinals. Also a title race. But as you say, was nothing to do with him, it was the squad.
its a squad game but, this squad was built by Ange and Levy so they are equally responsible for the squad, the cup win and the horrendous league position.

:pochshock2:
it's not even the best back 4 we've had in the last 10 years, much less the best we've ever had. Player for player, Rose was far better than Udogie, Vert>Romero, Alderweireld>VDV, Walker>Porro. And it's not even close.
There's a strong shout to say BAE/King/Woodgate/Corluka were better than this lot considering our current defenders can't fucking stay fit for 5 games in a row either.
And yet we went on to win a trophy, somemore a European one. Lol

So many times we said 'oh this should the season we won something because the route to the competition was so easy, or it was a season where all the traditional big teams crapped out we should have done more to challenge the league' and we fell short so many times regardless.

This year we won with perhaps a weaker team and manager for some years since but people like to say we kinda lucked it out.

Also for once we actually and finally won something and astonishingly people have no qualms in ripping it off for next season thinking that will be the best decision.

Consistency is what may fans have been calling for every season but one poor league standing out of so many seasons suddenly got people to lose their memories.

The Europa win for me really changes everything. And players showed how much they enjoyed the cup and standing by Ange after that.

Guys..I've never, ever, claimed to be some kind of ITK, but a reliable geezer I'm in occasional business contact with (yesterday afternoon being one such occasion) who liases regularly with the club is absolutely adamant that the decision has already been made to run with Ange next season.

All the other so called big clubs already flexing their muscles in the transfer market and getting ready to do significant deals…. while we dither and debate about keeping an incompetent manager who has just overseen the worst premier league season in our history and our worst season since relegation in 1976/77 season. COYS.
