So these results earlier in the season were just the players performing in spite of Ange? But dropped points against Ipswich and Leicester Ange’s fault?

Everton 4-0
Brentford 3-1
West Ham 4-1
Man C 2-1
Villa 4-1
Man C 4-0

We were 19 pts from 12 games with double figure gd. That’s equivalent of 60 pts over the season. Then December hits and a ton of injuries. Then last 7-8 games we rest best players from PL games. They win Europa (players in spite of Ange) .

If you seriously think we have players near the level of PSG you’re seriously delusional. Their players do as much running/sprints as ours if not more. Yet it’s Ange’s fault for the injuries!

I'm definitely not in the cult, I've been Ange out since before Christmas.

It's just the ridiculous comments that have no intellectual worth at all that cause friction between support on here...

'Ange is a fraud', 'Ange is a fat c**t', 'he's a thief', Levy is a bald c**t......

Just nonsensical rantings of people with no intellent conversation.

He never falsified his history to get the position, he never guaranteed a finishing position in the league. The only statement he consistently made was that he ALWAYS wins a trophy in his second season. So it could be argued that he's the opposite of a fraud.

As I've said before, I believe he's tactically naive at this level, the season itself has been unacceptable under his leadership. All I'm saying is that to use the term fraud is factually incorrect and just over-emotional ranting.

Did you think we’d win the EL under Ange?

He’s the most likely of all our modern era managers to win us more silverware. Objectively.

If we finish 10th and no trophy of course he has to go. I think the EL earned Ange the chance to show league progress until December. But you do need to give the whole thing completion… for good or bad.

If I recall most on here at start of the season voted for a trophy over a top 4-5 position. The sentiment was that Levy wouldn’t put up the dosh for a CL squad so let’s target a trophy.
Ange delivered, and with that got CL.
FFS there’s some bipolar attitudes here.

If you think PSG players do anywhere near as much running in their league compared to ours I really don’t know what to say to you.

That’s seriously delusional thinking.

The premier league is way more intense than ligue 1.

We are not a Liverpool / United / Chelsea’ / city who win all trophies available type club. It’s just not us. History shows that.

For years I have been pointing out to the ENIC out crowd on here that since the 90s when we win a trophy we do shit in the league. Is that what we want when we cry “win a trophy!!”

This forum had never existed when we had one of these seasons.

So the season we win a trophy we do shit in the league. And this forum goes insane.

But no surprise there.

People here clearly want their cake, to eat it and then rub it all over their naked bodies.

That doesn't mean he should stay when EVERYTHING is considered and weighed up ffs.

Our league form since his first ten games, nearly two seasons worth of evidence, is absolutely horrific.

As good as the cup was, a kind cup run shouldnt disguse all of that.

It's really not as simple as you portray it to be.

And not to mention some of his conduct

Fair enough. But I’d like to think that you can win a trophy without the trade off of having your worst league position in nearly 50 years playing some of the dullest football ever seen at WHL - I mean Palace and Newcastle managed it after all.

A bit off your discussion topic but indeed …

It’s absolutely crazy to think the 9th richest club in the world - equivalent to Chavs and Red Scum should be able to compete on all fronts. Truly delusional thinking …

Levy really is a f’in scumbag - I fear it only gets worse from here - spending the club’s revenue on real estate projects has now begun in earnest and I suspect that spending only gets larger from here …

That’s why you let the Ange era have a natural conclusion. Either it absolutely kicks on better than most people expect, or it doesn’t and the next manager actually has a chance to succeed because they aren’t coming in to replace a manager after our biggest achievement in 41 years

I do like Frank and don't think he would be a bad appointment anyway but I can see where you are coming from. It would be easier to make a case for him if we had lost the final and wasn't going to play in any European competitions next season. Then you could argue that he would be a sensible choice to stabilize things. Now fortunately, we won the final and are going to be playing in the Champions League and therefore has got a golden chance of pushing on. It is harder to get excited about someone like Frank then.
