Ange re-invested the Kane money. He's had about 400 million spent on players since he joined. We had no European football first season and we started with huge momentum, after we lost that bounce it turned to absolute shit and he's never been able to re-discover any long term momentum. Of course he had a chance, the idea Spurs is some poisoned, impossible chalice is a nonsense and always has been. We are similar in wealth/profile to Woolwich.
Everton are miles below us in terms of overall squad quality, why are you comparing us to these teams? Frank can finish top 6, but he can keep building from there like Pochettino did. We need a stable, up and coming coach, not an egomaniac who will throw away the league.

Frank is a significantly more talented coach than Nuno. Again he's not my first, second or even third choice but he is an intelligent coach with a proven record of getting a premier league club to punch above its weight consistently. Ange would not keep Brentford in this league.
Lol yeah he "beat" Liverpool in the league cup in a first leg then lost the second 4-0. He also finished 17th, lost to Ipswich and Leicester at home, and had us only above promoted teams. And in what world could he get a result against "anyone" ?? Why do Ange fans just make shit up. Because we parked a bus and won against Man United we could do it against anybody??? Why didn't he do it against Woolwich, Liverpool, Chelsea then - all of whom we gave 18 points to.
You expect wrong then. No reason to think that a guy who was overwhelmed by Europa (a competition where 2/3 of our knockout ties were Az Alkmaar and Bodo, and our group stage included half of Eastern Europe) could manage the CL and the league. Just blind faith and hope from you.
I would argue keeping Ange is not even a punt, it’s a near guarantee we will be out of European spots this time next year.
The only way Ange can hope to compete in CL and Prem is if he's playing with PSG or RM level spending power. And I still don't think his tactics would work. He could never engineer a team playing as brilliantly as Enrique did PSG yesterday, even if he did have unlimited money.
Why don't you actually look at the teams Ange put out in the back end of the season and actually use that loaf on your shoulders instead?
I'm fairly confident that no other team in the league started with both its first choice centre backs out for more than 50% of the season. And that's just the one position I deigned to mention.
Look at the lineups from about Feb-Mar onward, look at the injuries, look at European fixtures and the lineups he fielded around the same time. And then come back here and tell me with a straight face that he didn't sack off the league.
It's like 370, 70 of which was fulfilling the obligations of Porro and Kulusevski which predated him.
It has been a fair old whack of money though, it's true, most of it spent rather well.

A disgraceful thing for any competitive team to admit, let alone one of the ten richest clubs on the planet, who have invested 400 million in to the coach. Sacking the entire league off because otherwise we couldn't possible manage our way past Frankfurt, Bodo and AZ to a final? What the hell does this say about Ange if he needs to do that to achieve those results?!
It's nonsense anyway. The players & coach can pretend we were shit in the league because they didn't try but it's just a load of cope from them. No top level players are just not giving a shit for premier league games and it was clear how furious Ange was in loads of matches in the league. We were absolutely diabolical in the league long before winning the Europa became our last hope anyway, it's just pure bullshit excuses pretending we can just turn on or off winning in the league.
I just don’t see any evidence from this season that provides the basis for anything other than Ange just being a fairly clueless manager that had a great and blessed cup run.
He played suicidal football for most of the season with almost no patterns of play or solidity which was a disaster and we were shipping an eye watering amount of goals. He then ditched whatever his alleged footballing principles are for a ‘style’ of football which was worse than the worst of Mourinho and somehow still lost matches week on week.
We narrowly beat Frankfurt, beat a Norwegian side, and then served up one of the most turgid European finals I have seen along with that United team who are an even bigger disaster.
I will be eternally grateful for Ange winning the Europa League but there is no evidence that he won’t be serving up similar dross next season. Even in an u likely world with Micky and Cuti consistently starting, the problem has been in midfield and attack this season, with the players looking completely and utterly clueless for a long time and that is down to Ange’s setup and training.
It's not new though. The club started buying land for the stadium build nearly 2 decades ago. None of the funds generated by the club go into any land acquisitions or building.
To caveat that though, the funds for any builds done are borrowed against the value of assets so, in a way, the club does essentially fund the builds, just indirectly.
It has been proven time and time again that ENIC do not take money out of the club to fund developments outside of the club itself.
The problem is, it's been going tits up since game 11 of 2023.
Ange is a bad coach who doesn't know how to coach players into playing better. He doesn't know how to do any other tactic than his crap ange ball.
You seem to think we only have a real chance of winning if we are to start Romero and VdV together. And that we can only judge Ange off of those games. Well, actually it just a serves as a big control to show that Ange has NO effect on the squad whatsoever- he's apparently entirely incapable of winning games without those two playing together, and deserves no blame for doing it.
Basically you all are arguing he is powerless to do anything. You're all saying the only determinants of if we can be expected to be competitive is if we are playing with both Romero and VdV.
Well if that's true it means Ange has no capability to positively affect the team- the entire determinants of his success or not are if Romero and VdV can play together.
That's not coaching. We have better backup CBs that some Prem teams have starting CBs, and naive fans like yourself somehow have been conned into believing that we have no hope, and Ange no responsibility, if Romero and VdV can't play together.

He played weakened teams it is there in black and white. Go back and look at the lineups in the league.

It's not cope at all. Take Saliba and Gabriel both out of Arsenals lineup for half a season along with other key players and replace them with a bunch of kids that they bought in the summer for the future and they would be struggling as well.
The path was dictated to him by the injuries and he sacked off the league. It was a ballsy move, that could only really be justified as the bottom three were all but relegated by March. And it paid off.

Fulham have worse starting CBs than our backups. They took 4/6 from us this year.
This argument about him sacking off the league. How many games did he actually sack off? By which I mean clearly rotated players to prioritise the Europa.

We've won an FA Cup and 2 x League Cups since 1984. It is by no means "our first major piece of silverware since 1984"
