Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Bodo did fuck all away from home, ever.

Obvious home advantage playing at -40, in six feet of snow on a dangerous plastic pitch (which UEFA shouldn't even sanction), and where the Sun sets at two in the afternoon.

Don't try and big them up.
Ifs buts and maybes, I know, but would people feel differently right now if we'd beaten Lazio and Athletic Bilbao in their home stadium to lift the cup?

Genuinely curious.

I cant face another season of him in the league. Nobody can turn the type of form we have been showing over such a long period of time, it is virtually impossible without changing manager and I think that is ultimately what Levy will have to weigh up. Is he willing to potentially throw next year too to find out if we start the season like a wet fart.
I honestly can't watch another year of Ange ball. I can't bear to watch this great club be so, so poor week in and week out.

So many torturous hours watching these flaccid performances for two years while he shrugs and has no answers.

We all know this ends in tears, it's hard to ask a person to subject himself to this clockwork orange horror show all the time.

At some point watching this dross 'because I love the club' becomes not wanting to watch it because you love the club

pick a side bruv

Oh I have one. But my logic on why I feel that way and why I feel it’s the correct way is unlikely to change the way the other side feels.

I do suspect that a lot of the vitriol of the usual suspects comes from them knowing that they can't take any real joy out of this trophy because it undermines everything they've said for 18 months. So all they have left now is the manager's scalp - because that's their only "trophy" left.

It is unfathomably sad for them. That night in Bilbao and the parade afterwards was joy injected into veins. Imagine not really truly being able to feel part of that because you called the manager a "fat cunt" cos you're so edgy...

It’s dumb as well.

Nobody cares if you called him a fat cunt, just b admit you are wrong and enjoy the moment every Spurs fan has been waiting most of their lives for

I don't regard Pochettino has having been a disappointment at all. It was disappointing to not win a major honor in his time when the capability was there, sure. But he was failed by Daniel Levy's refusal to invest in the squad or replace key players who were departing or past their best. If that had been done, I think Poch could easily have won the league or won that final.

Poch had 2 cup finals.
The league cup final in 2015 came too soon. And not only was it too soon into the project, it was also too soon after the game before. The League cup final was Sunday March 1st. We played away at Fiorentina on the Thursday beforehand. Chelsea, meanwhile, hadn't played since their home game against Burnley 8 days prior.
We were visibly dead on our feet early in the 2nd half. I remember Walker looking like he had less pace than Neil Ruddock. Now.
They were also champions that season.

The champions league final was over as a contest inside 30 seconds. As soon as Liverpool got that lead, they were more than happy to protect what they had.
It was unfortunately for us in both final, it wasn't through lack of talent by Poch to get us over the line.

In both cases, we were playing top, top quality teams when the odds were against us. Not the shittest Man United side in living memory.

i remember very few people having a problem with binning off the europa league back then. it was all about new stadium and top 4 and attracting better players. hell, there were debates about intentionally not qualifying for it so we could focus on the league ala leicester. this poch criticism (not from you) is pretty revisionist to me.

Wasn't revisionist at the time when a great many Spurs fans got on their sacky sack wagons and banged the drums for Levy to sack the best manager in my lifetime of watching Spurs for the sin of not starting the 19/20 campaign well.

I agree with all this but I also remember us getting bundled out by Gent in 2017 when we unquestionably had a squad not only lightyears better than what we have now but lightyears better than most of Europe.

So maybe you should just politely thank Postecoglou for his service and move on?
