Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Fair enough, then maybe it's just me that doesn't seriously think we are at any risk of relegation.

There was a period this season where it started to get a little bit too much that way, and we responded with 3 wins on the bounce to basically ensure relegation wouldn't happen. I think we were safe after those games in February, which is just as well as we got 5 points and 1 win from the next 12 games.

But teams that beat City 5-0 away, United 3-0, Villa 4-1 at home, with some other big results in there, are not serious relegation candidates. Not impossible but clearly too good. Find me any team that got relegated that won 7 games by 3+ goals and I would be very surprised.
Anyone who seriously thought we could have got relegated last season is a 24 carat muppet.

I'm reading Ange has been interviewed on holiday about his position at the club and his reply was that he doesn't understand why his position is under question?
If there's any truth in this then the man is more of a deluded fool than I thought he was. Scary!

So you just want to keep being a football club that wins 2nd-rate trophies playing the proper wuss way, whilst doing awful in the league and FA Cup?

I just can't fathom how lonely and full of self-loathing anyone who calls themselves a Spurs fan must be to be so bitter about winning a European trophy they squat in their mother's basement pouring bile while 250, 000 actual Spurs fans just drink the joy in.

I wish you all the best, brother. Peace.

You see.. I don't think he should stay at all.. But I do think that reveal would bang..

Payoff will be tied to an NDA so he can’t ever bad mouth club or directors, or if he doesn’t want to sign NDA would just get put on garden leave and be unable to work again until contract ended, and if he spoke out in period while on garden leave would be liable to sacked without any pay-off.
Also bad mouthing previous employers is not a great hep to get you a new job.
i really hope this is true because i know angie is dying to talk shit about us to anyone who will listen. i bet it's almost worth 12 million to him

:ange-bored:

Something that really concerns me about next season:

5 of our 10 total wins this season were clustered in the first 10 weeks. Then we earned a total of 5 points in the 11 matches between weeks 13 and 23 and were poor the rest of the season.

In the year previous it was very much the same, 8 of the 20 total wins were in the first 10 weeks.

That is to say, if Ange is retained we can consider that he might be sacked early in the season, but the established pattern is a short burst at the start and then relegation form ever after.

Hoping that if Ange were retained there might be the prospect getting off at the first stop seems unlikely. What seems more likely is another season like this one, where it isn't bad enough out of the gate for Levy to make a change, and Levy won't be able to sack him thereafter if "we're still in the cups".

The bigger worry for me is for an entirely lost next season, not just having to scramble for a manager in October.

Would you take another season like last season, lose 22 matches and finish 17th if it guaranteed winning the CL?
I don't know if I would really.

It's a difficult one to ponder even, because I reckon it's practically impossible that we could navigate a path to a CL win whilst also being that bad in the league, the Europa win stretches credulity to it's limit, but remains just within the realms of possibility due to the opposition involved.

There's no way that happens in CL, realistically the odds of us doing well in that next year are much better if we are actually playing well and getting results in the league.

However, as a pure hypothetical, I still think I'd lean towards no, because it's a whole season of being beaten down by Spurs in the 38 domestic games. This season has ground me down to complete apathy, and I don't like feeling that way, it's worse than coming away from a defeat infuriated. Unlike our players, I can't just switch that on/off for different competitions.

What does CL really mean to me if it doesn't come with the feeling that Spurs are the best team in Europe? You can't delude yourself into believing that if you finish 17th in your domestic league.

There's another, more recent Sky piece on Frank were they follow him for a day at their training ground that is really interesting if you haven't seen it.

He seems to have his head screwed on very well. And bringing this set of standards into the team could do a lot of good.

Yeah I remember watching that thinking it came across as an advert for Frank. Will watch it again though thanks for posting.
