Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It wouldn't have been better no, given the 17 year monkey, but it would actually have given us more hope for 25-26
Just reading some of the comments earlier on in the thread quite a few view the league as the most important aspect of a season even though even the most optimistic fan will admit we’re never going to win a League. A cup yes , obviously but the league would be for us finishing as high as possible woukd be the aim.

I didn't hear him say anything about finishing 17th on 38 points, having endured a league season of abject tortue week after week, losing 22 games.

That is the point of contention.

Mason and Wells could have won that cup and not inflicted near as much pain by just employing basic footballing principles to create a balanced dynamic for our squad to play within.

The fans do not want to go through league hell again and with CL pummellings as sprinkles on top.

No one is doing Baldcunts 'bidding' by wanting The Butcher out of this club.

They just understand context, variables and extrapolation and live in the real world and aren't masochists.

The ones accusing them of short-sightedness are the ones who can't see further than Fat Ange's hairy arsehole.

The guy in that clip is likely an absolute virgin.
The last time Tottenham lost the majority of their league matches was 90 years ago; films were black and white and people were just amazed they finally had sound.

Winning the EL does not excuse the lows Ange brought the club to for 18 months.

We don't have the players or ownership to win the PL or the CL any time soon. I think we can agree on that.
We can, sure.

So we're down to the domestic cups
I mean, no we aren't , but sure

and he's done absolutely nothing to suggest he can out manage any of the top 6-8 clubs in England in crunch matches.
Fun how you're using "crunch matches" to say that domestic cup matches don't count....in an argument about winning domestic cups.

And I take and accept the point that United doesn't count, that's fine.

In all comps Ange has beaten Liverpool twice, City twice, Villa twice, and Newcastle once in two seasons.

Not an imperious return by any stretch, but as a simple matter of fact it is not "absolutely nothing".

We can, sure.

That's cool, now list the myriad shocking losses..

Liverpool 4 defeats, Chelsea 4, Newcastle 3, Woolwich 3, Villa 3, City 3.

So 7 wins, 20 defeats.

Have we sacked the fat clown yet?
Fat? Need to get your eyes tested.

Last game of the season, less than a couple of weeks back...

Some of the players have come out in the last few days saying what a great feeling there is in the squad, how Ange is a great person and they all respect him, etc, etc.

We're being seeded for the announcement of a new contract.
Quite possibly, yes

Problem is that player support is always going to be fickle. A bad start and they could all turn. A new competent manager and they should be won over in weeks, max.

Interesting. When I think of normal, happy people whose club have just won a European trophy after 2 decades of abject failure, I don’t think of those frequenting this thread, moaning about the manager and crying about how they don’t like his personality(!) Unstable people with personal issues you say? Hate to say it, but that kind of checks out to be honest.

Let’s be real, some of you normal, happy people (lol) are in need of a wake up call. Here’s a fact supported by many, many years worth of incontrovertible evidence for you: Spurs don’t win trophies, Postecoglou wins trophies. Rather than circle jerking one another in here, your time would be better spent realising that finishing 4th or 5th and achieving absolutely nothing apart from making Levy richer year on year isn’t a worthwhile endeavour.

And here I was thinking I’d come in here and see all you normal, happy folks being normal and happy by basking in the warm glow of winning a European trophy. But no, this is some weird Stockholm Syndrome shit where legions of mini-Levys are desperate for a return to the business as usual of ‘winning’ their qualification trophies.

What was it Postecoglou said about weak foundations?

Sigh

Over 38 games against fellow Premier League clubs we were the 4th worst team in the entire league.

We lost twice as many game as we won. Dont start going on about foundations as if Ange has turned us into a team to be feared. The likes of Ipswich, Palace and Leicester fucking City came to White Hart Lane and fucking pissed all over us.

The fact is in the premier league there has been no signs of life for almost 18 months. What evidence is there that it's going to get better? We haven't been unlucky, we haven't even been fun to watch going down swinging it's been fucking abject.

Yes the trophy is probably the highest point of my Spurs supporting life. I fucking loved it. But it doesn't change the fact I don't believe Ange can or will somehow see us able to properly compete with Premier League level competition next season , and I'm afraid that I'm always going to put what is best for Spurs first.

Can you post literally one solitary shred of evidence that Poch suffered any manner of injury crisis in his first season at Spurs? Because I've checked and I'm pretty sure you can't.

Solid uno reverse trying to call me a liar, for calling out your....lies...
