Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

proves that Frank is a pragmatist and will set out to win every match he plays

His BFC team finished twice in 3rd to much bigger clubs, and were top scorers every time.

He's too smart to be a one trick pony. give him a team with scorers and he'll play accordingly.

Made Ange look in eejit in the Euro summaries. Like listening to Einstein and then Liz Truss

Irrelevant. That match at theirs we totally lucked out with a 2-0.

In the home match tho I admit I was surprised at their tactics, felt they played into our hands.

But the tables don't lie - getting BFC to 9th and 10th with the lowest wage bill in the PL is a fantastic acheivment. They fell away badly in the Toney betting season, and they also had 11 players going in for operations, but they were never in danger of going down.
Okay I get it. Anything Ange does that is successful is irrelevant and lucky and anything Frank does that is successful is because he is a genius. PS. Ipswich had the lowest wage bill in the PL last season. Also, Brentford never play in Europe so they don't have to juggle or make difficult choices. Think Frank will bomb out the minute he can't play his full squad twice a week.

Mate.

Yeah I'm the same, my head says if we give him another chance he will be gone by Christmas but my heart says how can we sack the manager who said he was going to win a trophy from the start and actually delivered.

Like you say though, regardless of who is in charge , the squad needs major surgery this window , serious investment is needed
I'm not sure he'll be gone by Christmas. People think he'll either be successful in a big way or fall on his face. I think there's a middle ground where he stays, has Spurs around 6th or 7th and this whole corrosive debate over him just continues. I can see another season like the first two-all about Ange.

I dunno the figures but I think we all agree that we need a different type of player now.

If you keep Ange, you don't buy exclusively youth prospects for next season. He's said himself...it's now about adding experience.

That's how he needs to be backed if they're gonna keep him.

I’ll rarely say that we spend the money wisely so take your point!

Prof the gestapo boss from COYS says:

I’ve had several sources tell me that DL is making the decision on Ange and others tell me that he’s told VV to make that call.

Most of them expect a decision to be made by the end of this week, though we may not hear what that decision was until next week.

Multiple sources say we’ve been unofficially talking to Frank’s reps and have agreed an outline of the contract parameters, in case the decision is made to part with Ange.

Pretty sure on there they called Slot being courted by us well before it was in the media. Interesting though, so thanks for passing on. I rarely go on there any more as it is such a dying forum. Almost seems like they dont want you to post, it is bizarre!

All about Ange takes the pressure off our low wage players who are being asked to achieve the same as players at clubs where they are getting double or triple the salary.

All about Ange is probably part of the reason they respect him so much. He took the pressure to win on his shoulders.

Wow - you checked!

So BFC have the SECOND lowest in the PL. Really glad you pointed that out, makes all the difference.

Don't put words into my mouth. I never said that. I think Frank missed a trick in the game at WHL, playing out from the back where we were full of energy and closed them down very well. It shows I can be critical of someone who I think is generaally pretty good. But the away match we were poor. Maybe you didn't see either game?

And as for doubling them, it's a marathon not a sprint and head to heads don't tell you very much. Is Horseface at Leics better than Ange just because they beat us 2-1 at WHL? Is Ange better than Pep cos we beat them twice home and away?

Worth remembering that Tim Sherwood did the double over Poch the season before he came to us also.

Proves absolutely nothing.

after a diet coke and a wank i've completely flip flopped and done a 180 on my opinion here. in fact, his achievements are monumental and cannot be ignored. not only that, what he's accomplished philosophically and psychologically with not only the players but the entire fan base is a miracle, sculpting a wet pile of clay into hardened and beautiful champions. all while losing at least 2 stone himself and reshaping his own body much like he's reshaped our club.

no, i am not too proud of a man to admit when i'm wrong. the fact is ange must go because we are not worthy of his greatness. in fact, it's our duty to la jogo bonito to set him free so that he may spread his love and influence to the far wider world than silly old spurs. we have been blessed and now it's time to do our duty and sack the cunt (hopefully in the next few hours ffs).

If they sack him, I'll understand why they had to but part of me will be disappointed.

If they keep him, I'll be glad the rumours can stop and hope he's backed and has a great start to the season.

If they replace him with Frank, I'll be massively underwhelmed.
All future Ange polls should have this precise wording as an option. Its not click baity but I think it would cover the vast majority opinion.
