2 can play this game I guess, Ange after losing Harry Kane, arguably our greatest striker in the PL era managed to get 5th in his first season and qualify for the EL, and went one better in his second season by winning the EL and qualifying for the CL , so next season that means we are winning the CL! :ange-arms:
if we apply the ppg of the last 28 matches of his first season to his first 10 he nets 54 points and ninth place. if we apply his ppg from his 11th match to right now it's bottom half. i'd love to see all you ange inners pony up some money on next year's league finish if he stays. would you bet your mortgage on top ten? i certainly wouldn't but i like money

This is becoming peak cringe .

Ange is moving like them balding men who link gyal, dagger gyal, gyal enjoys it, she thanks him profusely, even cooks for him .... but does not want to see him ever again.

Get the fuck outta here, league fraud cuck.
If the Aussie pussyhole is soo good as he claims he is, other teams should be queuing up to snap him up, correct?
Funny how no normal teams want him in any of the Top 5 leagues.
End this shit...

Love calling bullshit out when I see it.

You can't fluke 15 matches in a competition including winning it. You can be Ange Out all you like, the 22 defeats are a stain that will more than likely see him gone.

But calling the EL win a fluke pours water over the achievement and shits on every fan that turned up in Bilbao as well as went to celebrate at the parade, so FUCK THAT!

Don't get me started on some of the slop we've served up in cup competitions
It's a fluke because we drew an incredibly poor number of opponents Frankfurtexcepted.......I'm not demeaning a trophy per season. It's a great achievement but it's not HIS achievement.

Staying on then? Next season a write off.

Would be an unbelievably bad decision.
So at some point last season, I think it was fairly early given the way the prior season had ended, with the malaise carrying over quite obviously into this, I just switched, not a conscious decision but it definitely happened, and begun to observe our games like a comedy.

It's so much more relaxed to just have a chuckle about it as a barely better than relegation fodder side knocks in their 3rd goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to put the game to bed before the hour mark is even upon us, or as we gift 3 goals in a half of football to notoriously shot shy Everton side in even worse form than us, or watch Leicester turn up and win their first game in 7, and last for another 7, or give first wins of the season to Crystal Palace, and Ipswich, labour to a 0-0 draw against a bunch of retail employees, I can't wait to see next seasons additions to the list of shame!

It just became so predictable that what's the point in getting annoyed about it? It's not even a joke anymore, or gallows humour, it's evidence based observation. I'll resign myself to the same approach next season if he stays, and hope that the 2 year stint of apathy is still reversible by the time he goes.

Why would next year be any different from this year? Returning the same manager to the same squad will yield the same results or worse, as everyone is now a year older. Injuries likely to be the same or more, with another year of age and injuries cumulative on the bodies. And that's if no key players depart, we know that Levy is unlikely to make meaningful renovations to the starting 11.

Returning Ange is a choice to repeat the same thing, only we won't have a European competition to stagger through toward a hopeless opponent in the final.

Frank has helped coach average players into good players? Do you have proof... was it Frank or his coaches? Were these players already good and just needed a platform to showcase their talent. There is absolutely zero proof that Frank was on the training ground doing one to one coaching. I doubt any PL manager does any of that shit anymore.
On paper we have a better squad than Brentford. Do we? Because it cost more, doesn't mean it's better. I think this is debatable. Although we did do the double over them this season which really is an issue if you think Frank is the right man for us.
Frank seems to be a student of the game who more often than not can explain and tweak these things. Not sure about that. Hasn't done much tweaking and learning against the big six in his 4 years at Brentford. PL 10 D11 L27. 21% win percentage. Pretty poor. Even Ange is at 25% against the the five other members of the so called big six.

I think Frank is a good manager for a mid table side whose only goal is to retain it's Premier League place. His football is tough to watch, industrial at best. He will be under pressure for minute one and when we are mid table after ten games he will be getting abuse from us left, right and centre.
Ok?
Frank has helped coach average players into good players. As a head coach who always speaks with insight (imo) and tactically about the game I, as you have rightly pointed out, can only assume he has had input into player development as a result. I believe this is a fair assumption as Brentford seem to improve season upon season, but you might be right and it has nothing to do with Frank?? Fair enough!

On paper we have a better squad than Brentford! Again this is my opinion. Would need to take a poll to see if the majority agree or disagree like yourself I suppose.

Frank seems to be student of the game! I have watched and listened to a number of his post/pre press conferences and a number of interviews and he has always impressed me, but again your right, this is just my opinion/assumption and I can't counter your argument by telling you I know this for sure because I'm not at Brentford's training ground every day standing alongside Frank.

I agree with what you suggest, that at Brentford just to maintain Prem status is considered a success, but I believe with a better squad of players, or not is your argument, that the "industrial" football that Brentford churn out (in your opinion) would become far more entertaining at The Lane.

Funny Old Game!

We could’ve had learn from United mistake last season of letting ten hag starting the season. But no. He stays, international break of October or November he’s out.
Its the most inevitable thing i think i've ever seen in football. Massive pressure from game 1, a bad or even mediocre start, which there is no evidence to suggest it wont be, and it could be a Hoddle or Ramos 6 to 8 games. I think everyone in their heart of hearts knows this but its about getting one over the dissenting voices at this stage and winding people up as much as anything.
