Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Rueben Neves as only 1 yr left on his contract, would be ready made for PL. Hes had 2 yrs making silly cash at 28 in his peak still, could be ideal experienced signing who wouldnt cost the earth. Main challenge or sticking point is Jorge 'tha prick' Mendes

Wouldn't be my instant picks, but I'd have infinite more faith in the likes of Sane and Grealish over the multitude of jokers infesting our squad.

On a similar note, if we had any sense or ambition we'd be aiming to move out carthorses like Richarlison and Solanke for an elite Number 9. Osimhen, Gyokeres, whoever. And then follow that up with someone like David for free to back them up.

We'd also be addressing the lack of technical qualities in the squad to play pass and move, attacking, possession/positional football.

Instead what you know we'll spend our summer doing is bringing back clogger Tel, when we do spend an absurd fee it will be on someone like Jarrad Slabhead, we'll give Pape Matar Gump a new 8 year contract, whilst in the end lamenting putting all our eggs in one basket failing to get Eze out of Palace with a "15m plus Dane Scarlett" final offer.

All whilst appointing Thomas fecking Frank as manager :ledley:

Wanting Solanke and Sarr out is a strange take

Big fat hard no to Gealish and don't hate Solanke as an option for the 9 at least, but apart from that I get your gist.

If we are going to go for a Grealish type, let's go and get Sancho. Same MO (dribbly but not quick) but younger, better and much less of a wankhorn.

I was a kid in the 90s and remember being excited about our fancy foreign signing Rebrov from the depths of Europe and now I hear he was coked up.
Just a rumour I heard, I don't know how much truth there was in it, if any.

What I do know is that he was mustard when he was partnered with Shevchenko, then after a spell with us effectively disappeared of the map, whilst Shevchenko went on to have a stellar career (his spell with the racists not withstanding).

Sometimes you strike Gold with a strike partnership, Hulk and Falcao at Porto are a prime example. Once they were split up, Falcao went on to bigger things, Hulk went to Russia then Japan.

Crooks and Archibald. Great strike partnership, the Archibald went to Barca, Crooks went to West Brom.

In all those cases, it was one of the two that was the true talent that made the partnership tick. They were able to go onto further success, whilst the other one just faded away.

Firstly, that's just a reported demand, so pinch of salt.

Secondly, it's utterly disgusting that any player, outside of elite could not only ask but also get that much for a week's toil. World gone mad right there.

For me Mbuemo is a reasonably skilful grafter. Nothing more than that. If that's the kind of player Unitef think will take them back to the top, well it's laughable in my opinion.

We do however look absolutely constipated by comparison to a lot of other clubs.

Its dispiriting but it certainly isn't surprising, which soothes the ire.
Common regardless of alleged salary requirement he is head and shoulders better than any of our wide players. How much have we been paying 19 yr old Tel? Complete unknown done nothing so far yet im sure his on 100k plus. And we want to spend at least £35M plus loan fee on him. Pay the money get mbeuno and he goes straight into starting g 11. People keep going on about levy not paying the wages but you get fans then say we shouldn’t be paying high wages. The guy is ready made PL top quality. I bet when his tearing up for manure everyone will be saying should have paid for him.im sure the salary could have been met by incentives.

I completely agree. We cant move quickly and early because the managerial situation isn't sorted. Plus, the clubs moving quickly all know what they needed and some of those clubs are huge, with settled managers and systems so can move quickly for the targets they want.

Its a frustrating reality to be in but Ange winning Europa and the players loving him threw a spanner in the works.
Well there goes another project. I thought we were going down the model of the club buys the players and the manger we have should have style of play that fits the players at his disposal. So if Ange goes the next guy should have similar ethos obvs with better tactics. The players should be agnostic to the manager.

This is an insanely bad take. Eze is cresting into his peak years. He’s sharp, focussed and supremely confident . Grealish has lost his hunger, and Pep has made him question himself to the point where he plays with no natural joy anymore. Plus there’s lots of rumours that his private life is a bit of a mess.

Eze all day, every day.
no point spending £40M on a 30 yr old when the better player and more years left is eze. Spend the £62M on him give then Davies as well.

I won't.

Decent player and that's it.
