That would be well worth doing, Dragusin will never be a PL player.
I haven't really seen anything of him at all, he looks absolutely fucking massive and fairly quick to boot on youtube, have to wonder why Inter want rid of a player who was a regular feature in the side that got them to the CL final though? Especially on a swap deal for a player coming back from an ACL injury having ridden the bench most of the past year and a half and not exactly covering himself in glory when he did play? If it's a straight swap you have to wonder how good Bisseck actually is if Inter would rather roll the dice on Dragusin getting back to how he was playing for Genoa.

I want strength in depth but I'd struggle with how to rotate a squad that large. Feels a bit oversized.

Hopefully we get 1 of the above then

The problem we have is we have shit loads of players, its been dreadful squad management. Wont list every player but we basically have 2 senior players for every position plus Moore, Abbott, Gil, Donley, Phillips, Vuskovic, Devine, Scarlett, Yang and Veliz. The idea of adding more squad players or youngsters (unless first team ready) is mad. We really need 4 or 5 top quality first team players and a pretty big clearout.

I don’t get people who are turning their noses up at him. Similar to Bergvall he’s classed as a exceptional talent, we should be all over this as opposed to splashing £50/£60m on a player plus high wages that may be no better than what we have.

Our central midfield in terms of quality and depth isn’t good enough. Replacing say Bissouma for a DM won’t fix our issues. Ideally we need 2 CM’ including a DM and another with actual passing ability.

With Bentancur signing a new contract, we’re looking at him and Bergvall and first choice? Sarr and a not ready Gray as the competition. Adding Froholdt and a DM is what we need to be competitive both in the EPL and Champions League as far as central midfield is concerned.

Not sure I agree tbh

This kid looks talented but the squad does need experience and know how. Especially in MF.

We also need to be careful with HG and CT players. If we sign this guy it probably takes him half a season minimum (like Bergvall) just to adjust. Then he doesn’t reach his peak for another 5 years and we will be selling him before then. And because he’s non HG the other CM we sign is probably Angel Gomes because he’s HG.

I can understand why people want us to use any precious non-HG spots for players in their peak right now

Most of those will be loaned out again as only a few of them look/may be ready to support the first team squad.

Moore - expect him to stay with the first team
Vuskovic - a huge talent, he’ll either be with the first team or given another loan
Phillips - pundits rave about him but I expect it to be him or Vuskovic who stay with the squad with the other loaned out
Scarlett - I would keep him around but he’s got what, 2 years left on his contract? a potential permanent departure

Abbott, Donley, Devine, Yang = Championship loans

Gil, Veliz - likely be let go (Gil definitely and Veliz if there are any takers)

Froholdt at £20m will be expected to be in and around the first team squad and not another kid who needs multiple loans. Whereas say Payton Miller - then yes, just another kid who we won’t see for several seasons if ever.

I agree in terms of needing experience, not just in midfield but right across the pitch but I wouldn’t be turning my nose up at Froholdt because he’s young. If he was our only signing then yes, cause for concern. I would however expect him plus one other (experienced). My concern with Gomes is his size, yes I know Modric was tiny too but we lack physical presence and AG isn’t going to rectify this.

I’m not turning my nose up. He looks a serious serious talent. It’s about squad balance. You can sign him but you can’t put him in your CL squad. Which then means you need to sign an experienced CM for you CL squad as well

We all know how this club operates and the list of things we need just gets longer and longer.

We need to find a better balance. Last year, we signed too much youth and not enough experience.

We need a first-choice number 6, and a first-choice CB (because Romero won't be here for much longer). I'd also argue we need cover for Maddison due to his injuries, and a replacement for Son who needs more rest.

We may also need a striker if Richy goes.

If I were Tottenham I'd simply sign the ones who are the bestest...

Whether your Ange in or out
Can't really argue too much with the players that have been recruited since he came to the club.

Vicario,
Kinsky,
Ashley Phillips
Van de Ven,
Draguisin,
Danso,
Bergvall,
Archie Gray,
Maddison,
Johnson,
Soloman,
Oderbert,
Min- hyeuk yang
Solanke
Veliz,
Mason Melia ( i know he doesn't join officially until next year)
Possibly add Tel to that list too if we sign him permanently

Recruitment hasnt really been that bad just need to fill out the existing squad with 3-4 experienced heads and i dont think we are in as bad a shape as some of you make out

And obviously keep the players fit

I believe there will be news on that in due course about a new sports/science & medical department.
A department that is professional and actually know what they are doing will be of the up most help to the squad.

It's too late I started supporting Spurs in 1978, I've enjoyed watching some of our great attacking players over the years, it's just that we haven't got any of those now, and we don't even seem to be bidding for any. You might be happy with that and enjoy watching the team get pasted week in week out, but I don't. Apart from the relegated teams we're the worst team in the Premier League.
If you can't enjoy winning our first European trophy since 1984 & put entertainment ahead of the pure joy we fans felt at the final whistle in Bilboa & would rather bemoan the lack of a Ginola or a Bale then I don't understand why you bother? All those years under Poch with the quality players didn't match the unbridled joy me and my kids had that night in Bilboa. It didn't come close. I don't understand how negative and moany some of our fan base have become these days. I'm not just digging you out McCoys you're not alone in your feelings I just don't get it that's all.
