But this doesn't alter my point though?

We pretty much shop in a similar ball park to Brentford as well (shamelessly) Gray and Johnson are two of the players Frank wanted in recent seasons.

Yes that's true but also there lies the problem. We shop in the same damn place as brentford!!! We are one of the richest clubs in the world, go sign players in a higher bracket. I'm all for young talent but simply doing that doesn't work, it never gets fully realised and the best ones get picked off after years of waiting for others to mature.

See romero now, porro next year, then bergvall and vdv. We will never get the best of these players unless u add already established top pros.

Same old, same old

Yeah this is Levynomics in full swing unfortunately but I'm not that disheartened because we now have a manager who is happy to work under similar circumstances a Brentford.

The problem lies when he gets us to a level to challenge (like Poch) and the manager needs more to get over the line but the club fail to push on

I agree, but it shouldn't be like that. And when frank brings this squad home in 6-8th place and people are groaning about it and him not being good enough then we go around the same circles again and again.

Highest ticket prices for second tier product on the pitch.

Don't get me.wrong I think frank will be great for us but I'm desperate to see us mix it with the big boys like we should be.

Welcome to Tottenham, I guess the quicker people set their expectations with this club, the better.

Mbeumo apparently prefers to sign for Utd. Utd want him and apparently both parties have verbally agreed on the contract terms, so why hasn't he signed?
Holiday or waiting for Frank conformation at The Lane?

What with the overwhelming amount of teenagers signed under ange...

So basically Solanke and Maddison out of that lot have any experience. Both are a bit hot and cold. Yeah good one. Challenge on all fronts.

Wernt they bought under previous management? ie conte?
Kulusevski was loaned under Conte, but permanent when ange started. If we go that way then add Danso in as a permanent under Postecoglu (over 180 senior apps).

The rest are Ange signings. The dates are in the screenshot (Ange started 6 June 2023)

I wouldnt include a season at Empoli as experience
How about 2 seasons at Empoli, 1 at Perugia, and 2 at Venezia. Vic had 160 senior apps before signing for us.

Eze, 68m. Wages 7.5-8.5m? Mbeumo £60m. Wages £6-7m? and Braithwaite 50m. Wages £5-6m? = £178m + 18.5-21.5m wages.

Surely with a bit of creative accounting, sales, players out, Richy £18-20m? . Wages £5-6m? The Legend that is Son, If we got silly (Saudi) money £50-60m? wages 9-10m? Romero if he really wants away 40-50m? wages £6m? maybe Biss £25-30m? Wages £4-5m? = 133-160m + 24-27m wages.

Of course all guesstimates on my part, how far off I am, I'm sure I'll be made aware!! But the point is I don't think this is that far fetched in making a good effort to balance the books and recruiting 3 top class players that could take us to the next level.
