what did we earn out of our PL spot this season
what would we have earned if we'd finished 5th like the season before
or say 8th with that EL win

All feels a bit like when we replaced Ossie Ardiles with Gerry “safe hands” Francis.
Like jumping out of the frying pan into a bowl of muesli.

The premier league is a much higher standard than the Europa league anyway.
152 Premier League games - winning 54, losing 60 and taking 200 points from a possible 456.
He has to do better than 5th place or win a trophy in 2 seasons or this is another 10mil plus whatever it cost to buy Ange off we could have spent on players. I don't get it.

This guy runs the football analyst Premier League Panel, most accurate football account I have seen. It’s remarkable how on point their predictions tend to be so this is interesting.
You clearly haven't visited The Griffin Park Grapevine lately.
It’s around £3m per place, so 17th= £12m, 5th= £48m and 8th=£39m.what did we earn out of our PL spot this season

Wow, Frank really just came out of no where didn't he! Well done to the club on keeping this one secret!
Anyone who wants Frank to do poorly as and when he signs wants to see us do badly or would rather feel vindicated in whatever their agenda may be.
Those who fell under the spell of the wizardry of Postecoglou will have to find a way to exorcise themselves and those who believe Levy to be Nosferatu will have to do the same.
Call me easy to please, but I just want to see any Spurs manager creating a team that competes with the best and rest of the PL,and not one that sh!ts itself each and every time.
I hear people say "yeah but he's got some great players"
Bryan Mbeumo wasn't "great" when he came from Ligue 2 at the age of 18/19, no-one wanted Ivan Toney when he was at Peterborough, etc
He's coached and improved these players over years and years.

Brentford's Goal Scoring in the 2024-25 SeasonMy main reservation is the football he plays. Bordering on Stoke style.
AI's bloody wonderful.Brentford's Goal Scoring in the 2024-25 Season
Brentford scored 66 goals in the 2024-25 Premier League season, as shown in the sports card above. This placed them among the top-scoring teams, with only Liverpool, Woolwich, Manchester City, Tottenham, and Chelsea scoring more. Their goal tally reflects a significant improvement from the 2023-24 season, where they scored 54 goals, underperforming their expected goals (xG) of 65.17 by 11.17. In 2024-25, Brentford’s 66 goals came from an xG of 61.44, indicating a +6.0 overperformance, with their shot-on-target percentage of 40% leading the league. They also topped the Premier League for headers scored (14) and were highly effective from set pieces, with players like Yoane Wissa scoring six goals from free kicks, corners, and throw-ins.
Thomas Frank’s Football Style
Thomas Frank’s Brentford employs a flexible, pragmatic style that adapts to opponents while maintaining an attacking edge. In the 2024-25 season, they used a 4-3-3 formation with an average possession of around 47.8%, though posts on X suggest it can reach 56.8% in some matches. Frank emphasizes high pressing, quick transitions, and clinical finishing, with a focus on creating high-quality chances—Brentford led the league in shot accuracy and chance quality. Their "BMW" front three (Mbeumo, Wissa, and Schade) contributed significantly, with Mbeumo scoring 20 goals and Wissa excelling in set-piece scenarios. Brentford’s approach includes fast starts, as seen in their record-breaking three consecutive games with goals in the opening minute, and a strong emphasis on set pieces, scoring 19% of their goals from such situations. They also rank second in the league for accurate long balls and excel at winning second balls and tackles in the attacking third. At home, Brentford’s games averaged 5.0 goals per match, making them one of the most entertaining teams, particularly at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Despite their attacking prowess, Brentford’s style shifts to a more defensive, counter-attacking approach against top teams, as Frank has noted they avoid going "toe-to-toe" with elite sides in open play. This adaptability, combined with their low wage bill and ability to outperform expectations, has made Brentford a model of efficiency.
Potential Translation to Tottenham
Frank’s potential move to Tottenham, where he is a leading candidate to replace Ange Postecoglou, would bring his adaptive, high-pressing, and structured attacking style to a club with greater resources and expectations. His ability to maximize output with limited spending—Brentford have the second-lowest wage bill and lowest transfer debt in the Premier League—suggests he could thrive with Tottenham’s larger budget and talented squad. His 4-3-3 system, focusing on fluid attacking play, high shot accuracy, and set-piece efficiency, could suit players like Son Heung-min and James Maddison, enhancing Tottenham’s attacking output. Mbeumo, who Frank reportedly wants Tottenham to pursue, could further bolster their frontline.
However, challenges exist. Frank’s limited experience in European competitions, having only managed Brøndby in Europa League qualifiers, raises questions about handling Tottenham’s Champions League schedule, which includes 17 more games than Brentford’s 2024-25 season. His pragmatic approach against top teams might also face scrutiny from Spurs fans expecting a more expansive style, though his ability to adapt tactically could address this. Posts on X highlight Frank’s attacking credentials, countering perceptions of a defensive style, which could align with Tottenham’s desire for structured yet dynamic football. His methodical coaching, openness to player input, and ability to foster a positive team culture—as a former teacher with a focus on encouragement—could help manage Tottenham’s high-pressure environment.
Summary
Brentford’s 66 goals in 2024-25 placed them among the Premier League’s top scorers, driven by their league-leading shot accuracy and set-piece efficiency. Frank’s pragmatic yet attacking style, built on high pressing, quick transitions, and adaptability, has made Brentford a success story despite their low budget. At Tottenham, his system could elevate their attack with better resources, but his lack of European experience and fan expectations for expansive play may pose challenges. His track record suggests he could adapt and succeed, potentially making Tottenham a more clinical and versatile side.
A top 6 finish and Ange is still with us.What none of those Angebois who WILL revel in any struggle Frank has (he'd have to win every game to shut them up) will ever recognise, is nobody knows for sure how bad (or well) he'd have done if he did stay. They just can't seem to cope with that. He won a cup so that means he will carry on winning cups. Every season. Because once.
It's dumb. They're dumb. I feel dumb trying to work out what's in their heads.

That turns me on.
We earned £11.3m this season in prize money from the PL.
5th placed Newcastle (are you sitting down) earned £45m

Premier League prize money confirmed for Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs
The Premier League season is now officially over - and all 20 clubs are set to receive their annual prize money payment after the final standings were confirmed.www.football.london
As I said yesterday. A top 6 finish MORE than pays for Ange's sacking and Franks hiring.
Rubbish. Go do a little bit more reading and then consider your opinion. My main reservation is the football he plays. Bordering on Stoke style.
It will be the 3rd out of the last 4 appointments who had a reputation for not playing good football.
Brentford were awful when they played us last year. Just hoofing it up and long throws
Ange didn't play good football but at least he pretended to.
Hopefully it will be the opposite with Frank.
Morning DanielI swear to god you cunts better give this guy a chance. Anyone who doesn't is going to cyber-dealt with.
