Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Something to keep in mind:

We used to have Kane and Son, 2 legit world class forwards.

We sold Kane and kept Son long enough that he’s not WC anymore.

We are about to sell our best player and closest player to world class status (Romero) and also likely sell Son.

We will sign mid range punts to replace them both.

Highest ticket prices in Europe

Nice spin, mate.

First of all - across whole season Romero was not top 5 player for us.
You are fully mixing up "potential dream scenario" with real world.

And then you say that we are also selling Son, indicating like it would be massive loss, even though you yourself admitted that he is actually not the player he used to be. And further downplay things with terms like "mid range punts". While again - coming back to real world, then Mbeumo is extremely clear upgrade on Son - 20 goals + 8 assists from last year. And from 25 yo player on his way up. While Sonny whithout the doubt is on his way down.

We do not know if it will be Mbeumo or someone else, but right now we do not know if that is "mid range punt" or not. But you state that as a fact.
So 100% spin and fantasyland in that post.

I really don't see the point in closing the window for 6 days.
Won't somebody please think of the agents?!

Mbuemo may well be a fantastic signing (although I’m personally unconvinced), but is a right sided attacker, that replaces our top scorer, really the most imminent need this squad has?

Why aren’t we being linked with a defensive midfielder who has legs and eyes that work?
To me - hope is that we can improve our back-end with better structure and utilisation of our current players. So i.e. playing with double pivot and keeping organized shape as a team could decrease urgency of buying top level DM.

But when it comes to our front 3 - serious improvement is needed regardless of the system we decide to go forward with. We were toothless whole second part of the season. So top class attacker is a priority to me.

Ofc hopefully we get DM as well.

All we need is some highly experienced heads (proven internationals/Champions league experience) amongst our young squad to help with the demands of 25/26 season

Someone like Aymeric Laporte in Defence - still playing for the Spanish national team yet plays in Saudi so is very gettable always a solid performer

CM - Joao Paulinha - proven international enforcer massive hit in the premier league not really been given much of a run in the Bayern first team since he moved from Fulham due to the form of Pavlovic and Kimmich

LW - the Leroy Sane rumour mill just keeps gathering pace and he would be a serious upgrade on Son

CF - Dusan Vlahovic - with Paratici coming back into the club and his links to Juventus and the fact he has been recommended before plus the supposed 20 million price tag whats not to like

These 4 players are just examples of very gettable targets without breaking the bank with the kind of experience needed to compete and compliment the current Spurs squad

I really hope the board do not waste big money on Brian Mbuemo

Wouldn't be surprised if our business is so bad that there is little change. Can see Romero forcing a move and going for around 50m, then wouldn't be surprised if Brentford got the full 50m for Collins.

I'd never trust us to do shrewd business anyway. We spent more on Solanke and Johnsen than we got for Kane!

Then we’ll buy Branthwaite for £70m

That’ll teach ‘em!
