That's why.

You can be a "nearly team". But you can't be a "nearly team" when that last critical telling margin is so nakedly being withheld from the club year after year after year after year.
DL loves to hide behind debt covenants and PSR.

If they value it at say £5bn ENIC hold about 85% so what just over £4bn, a £3.4bn purchase would give them majority ownership and that might be all they want.
Its probably worth 4bn tops. Nobody would pay 5.

85% of 4bn is 3.4bn. So thats plausible.

But its more likely BS.

I do think that Charrington fella is on the board because Lewis wants out though. Levy has probably turned down too many bids and is too attached to his lifes work.

£3B tops, there's some wild exaggeration of the club Forbes just valued at £2.6B 2 weeks ago. Take the Forbes estimates with a grain of salt, but not the whole shaker.

Anyway, the idea Spurs have been, or soon will be, sold is a fantasy. I don't really understand why people continually fall for this.

That chart is on it's own is a disgraceful indictment of Daniel Levy and watertight confirmation of ENIC's utter contempt for the football club and it's fans.
What an abomination

This time need to admit: bar taking extra time to process Ange decision - he acted quickly and swiftly. Sacking on friday, and new replacement sorted almost immediately.

Some people are Levy Lovers and won't have a word said against him . The new stadium was supposed to be a game changer - the only thing that's changed is our league position and it's not for the better .

The net spend from 2003 until 2019 was approx £180m. Just over £10m per season on average.
Since then it has gone up to £100m. That's the "net spend" people used to complain about.

You know what the stupidest thing about that chart is? It favours clubs who are badly run, with very low revenue. It also favours clubs, like Chelsea, who have a ridiculous excess of players, because the "wage bill" is a collective lump and doesn't actually indicate how competitive the salaries are per player quality.
As I mentioned last time, and got no response, are Real Madrid a nearly team compared to Barcelona?

But here's the ultimate question: If we had 2nd highest wages in the league, would you still see that "spending within our means" as a negative? Are we somehow a better-run club if we go full-on Irving Scholar?

Its probably BS. But it would take longer than a few days to sell the club once announced there was a buyer. The club has to carry on. Earliest they would get is winter window.
But if ENIC really are on the verge of being gone even as soon as winter, you'd think Levy would have just made the easy call of keeping Ange giving the wailing and grieving from a large section of the fanbase. just to make his last few months here a bit easier.

It's all bollocks anyway. We've been on the verge of a sale multiple times in recent years according to Twitter fantasists. It ain't happening.
