Management Thomas Frank

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm fully aboard the Frank train now.
The optimism is at an all time high!

When we fail to get most of our targets this summer I have a feeling Frank will actually do quite well. With his know how of managing and getting best out of limited squads, and the winning mentality the players have now (don't kill me Ange haters, clearly I mean reaching and winning a final to lift a big chunky trophy) I think it bodes well.
The likes of Bergvall, Gray, Odobert and Moore, plus Scarlett should hopefully really improve with better coaching and likewise the whole team should be more settled and please 🙏🏼 not so many injuries.

Get it announced already ffs!!

Spence? Bergvall? Udogie?

To be fair so much of the squad was new, or disrupted by injuries it, would be difficult to percieve any improvements anyway.

Johnson 5 goals first season
Johnson 18 goals second season, including the EL cup winning goal.
But that was Johnson himself with a bit of input from the tea lady. Fuck all to do with Ange right 🤦🏻

I really don't understand what people are even trying to say with the "no one improved under Ange" stuff.

That along with the we won the Europa in spite of him and the players did it alone, that, yes, Postecoglou had no redeeming qualities, and we're glad to see the back of him.

Its fucking weird-he finished 5th in his first season, won a Euro trophy in his second and qualified for the CL, leaving the club in a much better position than what he found it and with strong platform for the next manager to build

Its insecurity.

First manager since Poch that I am excited for. I didn’t care for Conte, Nuno or Jose because I knew how it would end. I had no idea about Ange but Frank is a great choice.

The squad is good enough to finish top ten with Frank, it will need some additions if we want to fight for Europe though.

Buzzing for it to be official and hear from him for the first time. You can clearly see a trend of him turning players into brilliant talents and we have lots of guys who IMO are diamonds in the rough and just need that little bit of care and guidance for them to explode. Thinking he quickly improves the likes of Bergvall, grey, Johnson, Moore, tel, odobert, udogie etc

Be interesting to see who drops down the pecking order when he comes in. Think one of the bigger casualties maybe Vicario, he adds that element of unease and I feel Kinsky’s style will really shine when given a chance behind a settled defence of our best players

So what?
So What Reaction GIF

I'm not going to let that ruin my enjoyment of a glorious week.
I don't want to ruin it.
I'm happy we won it.
I just also recognise that we should have. All along. Because even with Ange we were the best team in it.

Top ten? Why the low expectation?
Is it low expectation or is it realistic? Over the course of a season, our squad isnt strong enough to compete against Liverpool, Man City, Arse, Chelsea. It's possibly on par with Newcastle and Villa but they're more established with their managers coaching methods. If we break into the top 6 next year it would have to be classed as a success. 7th to 10th would be satisfactory , IF.....there are clear indicators of continuous improvement. Such as a slow start where the season ends strong.
