There have been suggestions that Frank wants to bring Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa to Spurs while reports over recent days have also suggested that Tottenham could try to swoop for Nathan Collins.

Now, a fresh update has claimed that a Bees midfielder is also on the radar of the Lilywhites.

It is revealed that Christian Norgaard’s name has been discussed by Spurs, but it is ‘increasingly unlikely’ that the midfielder will follow his head coach to N17.

GiveMeSport say that Frank sees Norgaard as a key part of his success at Brentford, and has a long-standing relationship with him, with the pair having worked together at Brondby and in the Danish youth set-up.

There is a strong belief that the pair complement each other both on and off the pitch and the midfielder has been instrumental in carrying out the 51-year-old’s game plan.

The outlet adds that Tottenham could also face stiff competition from Everton, Fulham and Bournemouth for Norgaard, but there is determination at the Gtech Community Stadium to price the player out of a move this summer.

I think they'll just keep linking us with every Brentford player until ONE sticks!

United are not paying Mbeumo anything near £300k/week, they haven't signed one player since Ratcliffe came in on anything close to that amount. If anything I think the only thing they have over us is historic club pull, which we can rival with CL pull, so think its very much 50/50 and if the rumblings are true about Gyokeres putting in a transfer request then expect to see their interest in Mbeumo cool in favour of signing Gyokeres, its clear as day their biggest need is a class 9 as Hojlund is a dud and Zirkzee might end up being "ok" but certainly no better than a backup player.
My uninformed armchair psychoanalysis of Mbeumo is that I think after toiling in obscurity coming up at Troyes and at Brentford, plus having chosen to represent Cameroon rather than his native France internationally, he wants to make a move to become really famous this summer.

Following his manager to Spurs would make him much more famous, but not to the degree United would, and failing that I could see him sniffing around Bayern or Real Madrid.

had to watch him at Chelsea a lot this season

Utd are set to play a VERY specific system. One the squad isnt suited to - so just because a player isnt right for them, it doesnt mean they wont be worth buying for someone else.

If we got Sancho (as an example, or even Garnacho) on the relative cheap from them, and they then stepped up and showed their potential - Id think that was brilliant (and hilarious)

Consequently if we just ended up buying a lemon Id be real pissed off about it

But the whole "not good enough for X" thing never really rings true to me, so many factors in why a player does/doesnt work at one club vs another

Sancho is a nonsense, all the talent in the world but his mentality is shit, also on massive wages.

Seems like Dortmund is the only place he's comfortable at.

Sorry, but I have never seen all this so called talent. Completely incorrect and zero proof of your assertion.

In fact Anthony, more maligned is much better and the better of all, based on the evidence is Garnacho in my opinion.

Sancho is already close to forgotten and has actually never even reached anything like Alli's heights who cost a damn sight less.

I hope this club goes nowhere near Sancho and if we do, it's going to be money down the drain. Not even close.

Sancho for 2 years was one of the best wingers in Europe for Dortmund, just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it's false.

Garnacho or Anthony haven't reached the levels of that version of Sancho.

Anyway it's all moot, he's a busted flush now and a long way from that player he was a few years ago.
