In fairness, levy did say they had no interest in football it was purely financial.
They have never hidden from it, football is and always has been a minor distraction.
No, you're misremembering what was said about Tottenham, surprisingly.

As chairman of the club, he is under obligation to do so.
He probably does want the club to win the league,he isn't prepared to do what it takes.
No he's not. A.lot of chairman don't go to games.

Nah. He's no Woolwich fan. He's no Spurs fan either.
He's no football fan full stop..... just a self confessed opportunist who jumped on the gravy train to profit from footballs global popularity.
He saw football as a "money spinner"

Oh look that passage about Ranger again, which has nothing to do with Spurs.

Same old trolls, same old bollox.

Well that's it then, you've got the whole lot of them bang to rights.
Stick with me.

I've had it figured out since 2007 and the sacking of Jol.

Levy keeps making it difficult and if necessary sacking anyone who actually does a good job for Spurs while Lewis fails to sack Levy for this behaviour over a 24 year period.

Hypothetically; if an insider trader managed to acquire both Woolwich and THFC they would have to make it look good / convincing if it was planned to elevate one brand and destabilise the other.

The City / United situation has similarities in my opinion.

One club seems to have serious owners who genuinely attempt to win while the other club are saddled with an entity that just rinses the supporters with the promise of jam tomorrow; forever while living off a glorious past.

''A UEFA report has revealed Tottenham make the most money per match of any club in the Premier League.....
Think that might be referring to an older survey, the latest has us in fouth place with The Woolwich third, you have to download the report from the UEFA site to see the average gate yield tables per fan. Hardly surprising when you look at the Woolwich members prices for a Cat A match , upper tier behind goal £100 !!!!!!!

So it's a bit like the narrative that I read some years ago, that Germany during WW1 permitted Vladimir Lenin to travel through their country by train, from his exile in Switzerland, to Russia because they knew he would try and destabalise things there from within. Hence the notion that the Bolshevik revolution was really orchestrated behind the scenes by the then German Kaiser and his secret services.

But instead of this being Kaiser Wilhelm II in early 20th century geopolitics, it's Daniel Levy in 21st century football?

Your satirical work is better than your political analysis.

You need to go off topic in your own canoe with this theory.

I was thinking more along the lines of the horror expressed by the British public, in the late 80's and early 90's, when it was exposed that Curry's and Dixon's were in fact price fixing within the electrical gadget industry and exploiting consumers by presenting themselves as competing entities when in reality they were just two cheeks of the same unwiped arsehole.

Does that help?

Okay thanks, I haven't kept abreast of the situation.

The last thing I really noticed was this in the tweet below when we were only behind PSG and Barcelona in the whole of Europe.

So, the two clubs are connected behind the scenes, and Levy is the pied piper pipping us into the mountain?

That was correct at the time when it was published but in the latest reports we have slipped behind the Woolwich, fans complain about our prices but their Cat A pricing is mad , however, think they are cheaper when you get to Cat C prices.
Other clubs are trying to milk the fans not just Spurs, look at Manure chucking fans out of prime seats so they can charge premium rates.

I am suggesting that it is beneficial to Woolwich if Spurs are nobbled.

This goes back to Sir Henry Norris moving them to N5.

Since then we have taken Terry Neill and George Graham while letting them take Pat Jennings and Sulzeer Jeremiah Campbell on these fella's watch.

Spurs got Rohan Ricketts and Bentley.

Is it really a coincidence?

I find it hard to believe that Barça are top of that list. The facilities at Nou Camp were pitiful, even by low Spanish standards, and they have played at the Olympic Stadium for the past two seasons which has a capacity of 55k (most of whom will be ST holders).

I think, if every chairman was asked, they would all say they want to win both league and CL.
Levy though, isn't prepared to do what it takes in order to achieve it.
He wants to win it on the cheap and that isn't going to happen, you need better players on better money and we don't do that.

My only point is that normally I'd criticise the managers for going early saying we need to win the league or we as fans should dream about success. It's kind of like Ange's "I always win something in my second season" comment. You can forgive the likes of Poch for saying we need or want to win the PL and CL because he actually came 2nd and progressed in both when most thought it was unrealistic. I just think this time the accountability from the fans ought not to be on something stupid the manager said but rather the chairman.

Most of the fanbase hasn't been hoodwinked into believing levy anyway.
If the club finishes top 8, the manager next season has done his job.

The Obama shagging Kylie rumour suddenly seems weirdly plausible

Most of the fans wanted Levy gone a long time ago. I wanted Ange gone at times last season, but that was in part only because I thought it was unlikely he'd get something over the line as he promised. My feeling with Levy is similar. He is talking shite and needs to be held accountable, but if he does back it up for once in 25 years, then he deserves an apology. I genuinely bet Ange could've finished 8th so it just doesn't phase me if any other manager does that.

Only time will tell on this now, not sure i would have trusted ange another season.
It was the right decision to let him go, just think he completely underestimated the strength of the EPL.
