I actually think Frank can do a lot with this. What it can't do is compete for Top 4 in the Prem or get out of the CL group stages though.

I think Frank can pilot this to a 6th-9th place finish. We will need better attackers if we seriously want to compete for top 4 or reach the CL knockout rounds.

But a lot of people were happy with spending money on Tel! Also a lot happy with a champo player like odo. Add in Solanke, Johnson and Richi and it is mid table at best. We needed to improve the attackers last season but we got odo. Ange said we needed to improve. Same now but how many more can we buy and how much have we already spent yet everyone still says we need to improve the attack.

- Re signed a 33 year old who is past his best on a 1 year contract extension.

Of course he would come across as arrogant, he was a serial winner that somehow joined our beloved clusterfuck (also worth noting that most of the black players from that ajax side got labelled as arrogant when they joined other european teams, as did Gullit and Rijkaard before them). The idea of Keane knocking out Davids is also hilarious. Signing any world class player at that stage in our development, whether they had lost their shine or not, was still transformative. He had an aura that never softened, even if his speed of thought had. Was quite literally the most magnificent thing to happen for me personally, as he had been my favourite player of the previous 10 years. Wonderful stuff

Would we not be able have a larger roster with more quality CT players available? I mean I understand we used academy players in those spots at times last season, but they were not really going to be played. Getting in a player that you might actually play in a really competitive match would be different, no?
