Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

My guess is they'll sell one. Eze turns 27 next week so they probably feel like now is the right time to cash in on him. Guehi still only 24 and looks like he could nail down that England starting spot for the next 5+ years so can't see his value dropping anytime soon. Same with Wharton.

It makes business sense for Palace to sell Eze this Summer, hence why they are dropping their ask and happy to be paid in installments now. I think Eze will be a Spurs player by July.
Also for Eze, now is the time to make a move to a big club and spend his prime years there, and then, if the opportunity is there, cash in when he's 31/32 in MLS/Saudi, if the gravy train is still running then.

Yeah exactly. He's literally 2 years away from becoming Jarrod Bowen. He won his FA cup at crystal palace! It won't get better than that. If he doesn't move now then he might never get the move!

So only two add-ons to the team that finished 17th?
FFS!?! Why are some people on here (supposedly fellow spurs fans) always so f'kin negative and looking to criticise everything! Did you even read my post properly...?!

This squad (minus Solanke, Odobert, Danso, Gray, Tel, Bergvall) came 5th 13 months ago. I said we'd need 2-3 additional players just to be competitive (e.g. challenge for 5th), with even more required if we are to challenge for the league.

Why don't you go and so something else rather than troll fellow spurs fans all day?

Yet another muppet ignored.

Yang is right footed I believe? Surely he’d be more suited to LW with Frank?
At the moment the chances that Yang makes it in European football at any level are pretty slim IMO. He was a punt and we should probably loan him to somewhere in Holland or Belgium where he can start 30-40 games. If he gets 10-15 goal involvements then we can start to think about whether he might make it in the PL.

Did pretty well at QPR. They want him back next season I think.

Definitely too early to write him off imo

Having a policy of signing young talent isn’t taking punts as long as you also sign established players.

QPR are getting a new manager. I watched a few of their games and the players did not seem to know what they were doing.
Yang had some bright spots, though and pre-season will be interesting.

Not sure if Moore is taking a spot either way.

Solomon is never taking Odoberts spot and sending him out on loan when we can get 15-20m for selling Solomon and use that on signing other players.
Yes if we get offered that then he's gone. But that is an assumption.

Currently Solomon is just as good as Odobert if not better. Odobert is much younger and will more than likely go on to become a far better player. But if we can't get a decent fee for Solomon (15m or over) then it wouldn't surprise me if we opt to loan out Odobert instead of Solomon. Its unlikely but its a scenario that is very possible. You said 0% chance, I'd say closer to 20% is accurate.

IMO he’s not even close to Odobert technically but that’s beside the point.

Solomon had a decent loan at Leeds so they’d take him most likely and even if we can’t get a fee, it will be Solomon going out on loan.

Frank name checked Odobert in his first interview, Solomon wasn’t even in the back of his mind.

I think people are struggling with the fact Solomon was brought in purely with the intent to sell for profit

Palace can't force either of them to accept a move.

Eze - Contract expires 30/06/2027
Guehi - Contract expires 30/06/2026 (thus if anything Palace would be more eager to sell him out of the two)

There's a lot of money to be made if a player runs their deal down to zero.... Having a punt at Europe for the first time could well be enough to tip a player's decision in that direction.

Wharton is a completely different proposition.

Solomon is better/more effective now than both Odobert and Moore but obviously they have higher ceilings.

We need all the cash we can get and Solomon is one of the few fringe players that could actually command a decent fee so we 100% sell.

Yeah, Guehi might very well be better off running the deal down tbh. Eze needs to move now though. 2 years is too long given he's 27.
