Cirkin or Walker-Peters if people like it or not makes so much sense.

We have club trained and homegrown numbers on the brink of causing squad issues and this eradicates other issues we may have in any other area of the pitch.

Last year lost Kane, Skipp even Forster leaving caused a homegrown ripple effect.

I understand why links like this get the piss taken out of them but they are a probably necessity based on squad regulations and that needs to be taken into account. I've no issue with Cirkin being signed, as long we other signings are made to maximise these kind of strategic moves.
Danish news links TF with Walker-Peters also says hes looking for alternatives to Mbeumo.

Doesn't mean he's a left winger...

All these formations putting him in a position he doesn't play, he plays as an inside 10 at Palace and is allowed to drift

Unless Frank set the team up in the same way which I cannot see personally.

Whilst at CP - According to TFM:

CAM - 77 app
LW/LAM - 52 apps.

TBH; it'd be interested to see what position is deemed best for him at a bigger club; cos clubs don't/won't set up against us in the same way they do against Palace.

There's a reasonable theory that he'd need the extra space that being a w/fwd might provide.

Want eze to provide competition to maddison. Eze is a better player technically imo. Maddison will have to pull his finger out as well. Also reason we need another striker. Not 100 per cent convinced with Solanke. Big fuss over mbuemo. Imo big fish in small pond. Wont be gutted if we miss out on him. Plenty more fish in sea. Wouldnt surprise me we offloaded vicario as well and get trafford in from burnley. More questions than answers from squad last season imo.

Not sure he is better technically, Maddison is elite on the ball, his numbers game for game have been in the past comparable to De Bruyne and recent the likes of Palmer and Bruno. Maddison’s main issue is he doesn’t seem to be able to stay fit for long periods and while he is very good accelerating in tight space he doesn’t have elite speed. Even with signing Eze Maddison will still probably be the best passer in our team.

Was surprised to see him slagged off a fair bit last season and even people suggesting we looked better with Kulu in the 10 role, feel as though a massive reason we were so good in Ange's first 10 games is because that was Maddison's best period for us and injury/minute management has seen him struggle to find a consistent period of form ever since. If Frank puts trust in him and starts him every week he will be back to his best again next season.

Slot is making liverpools midfield inpenetrable. We need to better that. Gooner I know but merson last season was spot on saying our midfield is a problem. Bergvall, bentacur and sarr i like but we need to add two top midfielders. Last season got smashed by liverpool 3 times as overun by midfield. Mind you foolish tactics by ange playing 4-3-3. Liverpool played 4-2-3-1. Ineffect we were outnumbered by 2 in midfield.

Maddison clearly has the best passing range of any of our players, long terms I wouldn’t be surprised to see him drop back and play next to a more physically robust midfielder in central midfielder. If we get Eze even more so with him moving into the 10.

I wouldn't relate last seasons PL team or form to anything we are likely to see next season.

If we do than Frank will be gone before Santa drops he prezzies off at your gaffe.

Frank isn't going to be setting the Spurs team he finishes with come season start play like a junior schools lunchtime kickabout.

There are countless YouTube videos setting out how Frank changes systems to suit the opponents. That I think was one of the main reasons Ange was fired, inflexible, arrogant and stuck in a system that was so savagely exposed week in week out.

Lots of fans say that Levy should stay out of footballing decisions but even he wasn't clouded by what he was seeing week in week out.

Maddison is a luxury player who needs legs around him. His best performances for us have actually came when Sarr was in the midfield with him. Had we signed Gallagher than that would have been huge for Maddison. Problem is Sarr is the only proper leggy midfielder we have. We look very lightweight with Bentancur Maddison Bergval as our midfield 3. Not enough of an engine in there and that is when Maddison looks weak and vulnerable. And in them scenarios you could argue that Kulusevski offers a far better balance. This has always been the problem with Maddison. He didn't always start for Leicester either - didn't start their FA cup final win! He needs two proper midfield engines in beside him for him to be at his best. Otherwise games can pass him by and we have seen lots of examples of this!

I love madders and hope we can build a team with him in it. But he is a luxury player who needs his ideal conditions!

I would...... His body can't handle the rigours of playing as a #8.

If we get Eze even more so with him moving into the 10.

Perhaps in another league (eg PSG/France); but the avg EPL MField would lick their lips at taking chunks out of that.

I think Vic is a little over-rated because he's very italian - a little like Conte in goal; very animated and outspoken. His personality is a bit like what I would have expected from Hugo as captain. Outwardly passionate

I think he's a good goalkeeper, and I feel more comfortable with him in goal than I ever did with Hugo (far less erratic), but Kinsky has made me appreciate that there are gaps in his game - certainly distribution, commanding his box (conceded a lot from corners) and possibly 1-on-1s.

Also think cullen and levy were on away trip team bus as monitoring Ange who was on verge of sack.

IDK if you can play Maddison as an 8 tbh, we tried it a bit when Ange was trying to shoehorn Kulu into the midfield and I don't think it plays to Maddison's strengths to have him sitting deeper in midfield, he's particularly specialist at finding the "final pass", I don't see him as a Modric-type orchestrator who envisages moves 2 or 3 passes ahead. I'd rather we didn't get Eze tbh and tried to sign a better CM, I think Sarr and Gray could both be amazing 6s down the line but we have absolutely no one in that midfield unit who can effectively progress play from deep. Our midfield is far too passive, neither Bissouma or Bentancur as our regular starters last season offer enough defensively or offensively.

Spoiler alert, 2 of the 5 candidates to replace Romero if he’s sold are already at the club 😂😂

The other 3 are Guehi who they know is going to get offered higher wages elsewhere, Branthwaite who is a non-passing LCB, and Nathan Collins.

That’s why I’m not up for selling Romero because you know they already see Danso and Dragusin as the replacements.
