Just go and get Eze ffs.

Don't believe for a second we couldn't go and do this quickly.

We never ever act quick enough. All the other big Clubs have made significant plays

What? 😆 😆

Gray needs mins, if Wharton signs then he'll likely take his mins, how the fek is he actually learning sitting on the bench lol

I am saying that there's 0 point in investing in a player like Gray, who, by the way was being talked up in the same breath as Wharton a year ago then buying Wharton who has now been given a platform at Palace to push on when we haven't really allowed Gray to flourish.

Gray will eventually grow into a good player who is likely to have a similar career trajectory given time.

Unless you're proposing Gray should be first choice DM this season then I don't see the problem....

DM is a big boy role; it's likely a number of years before Archie is ready to be the main man.

I assume you don't intend for us to tread water (and sign no.new #6) in the meantime?

Exactly why I want us to sign an exp DM...

Wharton isn't an exp DM and he's gonna cost a lot of money and still requires nurturing as he's not the finished article, pointless.

And if we were in Arsenals position where this guy would be expected to provide cover then it would make more sense - but we need a 6 who can come in and handle 2 games a week. This guy would be a huge risk for us due to his age. We’ve seen with Son how quickly the legs can go at this age - Casemiro is another one, great for a season and then it all just stopped for him, and he has won 5 CL
one thing I would say is comparing the likes of Casemiro...his body has been taxed with games twice a week for a decade, someone like Norgaard hasn't.

Looks like the Nørgård haters can stop worrying about him being signed considering he agreed terms with Woolwich on a 3 year contract all thats missing is a medical. Incredible they got him so cheap i guess its either to free up wages or maybe they have a gentleman agreement considering how long hes been at the club.

We need a first team player in that position first - it makes more sense for Woolwich than us.

It’s the single biggest hole in this side and should be where the big money is going.

PEH had experience, maybe we should have kept him given he is 2 years younger

PEH isn't a #6.......

By your measure, perhaps Norgard isn't either?

I just wish it was even mildly apparent what areas we were actively seeking to improve.

Right now it's just one big unknown, and much as we might all rightly talk patience, there is something unsettling as we have seen this script played out many times before.

I thonk we need a better first team as well as better options off the bench.
