It was the exact opposite of that, it was an expression of shared apathy towards the inevitability of the way this club acts.

A worse forward lineup got us 5th season before last and won us a Europa league last season. We scored 6 less goals than Man City last season, don't think the attacking side was our downfall. Probably worth seeing what our new manager can do with them before shitting the bed.

Yeah agreed. I'm not expecting them to be taking minutes off Romero or VDV but keeping Davies is just strange as its only blocking their path. Similar issue last season with Werner taking vital minutes off Moore. You don't want to be relying on these guys to play regularly but you do want a clear passage for them into the first team.
He had a very poor start to the league campaign but for me he showed his class in the KO rounds of the Europa League. He won POTT! He showed why Argentina rate him as one of their best defenders of all time.
He is definitely world class. The only world class player we have. Problem is availability and often motivation. Maybe he is just too good for us and we have to let him go!
Thomas Frank does not just buy players on a whim he uses time on rating them using exstensive dataanalysis then he looks at their technical & tactical abilities and finally mental strenght and personality he does not just shoot and buy players from the hip. Having a bachelor in sports psychology its important to him that players have the head screwed on right. How many players did he buy for Brentford that turned out to be a turd ? I am pretty sure he will get some players in if he sees them fit. Windows been open 10 days i mean come on have some faith in him if you expect big signings this time next week chances are you will be disapointed.
I think the idea is we are selling Son and replacing him with this new signing which I'm now convinced will be Eze. The club want a versatile forward so Eze fits the bill. He will predominantly be playing between LFW and CAM but imagine he could also be used on RFW too. He's a great signing.
Mbeumo would have been a better signing if we were selling Richarlison as Mbeumo could cover RFW and the 9. But the vibe I'm getting now is that the club might sell son and keep Richarlison. Therefore Eze makes most sense.

Exactly. A front 3 of Eze Solanke Johnson would compliment eachother very well with Maddison in behind. It is also flexible where Eze can move to the 10 to accommodate Tel or Kulusevski can come in as the RWF or the 10.
Eze is a fantastic signing and would make us so unpredictable. We could line up with Eze and Kulusevski in the same team and the opposition would have no idea what our formation is. Frank is adaptable so will keep changing it mid game. Eze could start on the left and end up centrally. Kulusevski could start in midfield and end up on the right. For me Eze is a gamechanger!
