Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think he'd be a reasonably big upgrade on Richarlison for exactly the same remit Inverted left forward/CF. Not as good at the without the ball stuff but loads better at the with ball stuff. Technically really good, favours right but can use both, can dribble as well as score and create. 11 goals and 6 assists in 1400 minutes, his underlying numbers are even better, suggesting it's not just purple form. His XG90was 0.74, his XA90 0.34.

For the sort of money we'd be looking at - which I don't think would be crazy - I think he'd be a good value addition and upgrade on Richarlison as CF/LF rotation. Beter striker than Solanke as well, again, just perhaps not as great without the ball. But that can be worked on.

Just a question of persuading Richarlison to move to a club who want him and prepared to pay both his wages nd a reasonable fee for him - maybe Everton or Galatasaray - to create a squad place for him

Haha Werner did flash through my mind when watching the clip.

If we don’t go big in this transfer window it’s unforgivable as it may be the last time in a while we can offer CL football.
Good point. People are drifting off topic talking about the Poch era and other times of the past, which is pointless.

All we need to think and care about is what we are doing now. Discussing what we did or didn't do years ago is a waste of people's reading time - We all know who was bought and sold, but the only relevant conversation is this transfer window.

I remember he scored 2 or 3 in the euros for Georgia. Scored v Portugal and Spain which is decent

Fairly decent chance that is tge same tweet from June 26, 2024.

All of the same clubs that were "interested in Eze" 12 months ago, didn't buy him, and they're all "interested in Eze" again.

Kinda like this whole industry is absolute bollocks?

:porrohands:

Edit: NVM....it was 6 weeks later last year.

It's no surprise we can't nail down any serious players early ,they will use our interest to flush out any more attractive options like clubs that will mount a genuine challenge for the top prizes . There is a pecking order and we are behind several clubs at the moment but will stay there under Levy .

Agree on everything except Solanke. He’s nothing like him really in that you can’t really go long and ask him to hold it up and bring others in.

I think he’d link with Solanke really nicely though
