Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Its probably easy say it from the outside but as a lifelong Spurs fan, I don't think I could ever let my son play for Woolwich!
What if they were literally the only club willing to give him a place in their academy?

I went to school with his dad. His dad and his uncles (dad has 2 brothers) and his grandad are all Spurs fans.
But he was proud his kid got in the Arse academy.

If we’re going to just end up selling him anyway though, would we be as well off just getting it done now rather than playing this faux tough man routine like we did with Kane and Bale etc and selling them right before the season starts and fucking over another manager.

Because the reality is, he wants out, Atletico want him, he is fully awake to the fact that this ownership are frauds and that he is very unlikely to achieve anything further by staying here. And from the outside looking in Romero seems a very volatile character who could cause an almerciful fuss if we don’t let him leave and in that scenario would be no asset to us anyway.

My view on it would be if it’s a choice of selling him for €60 million now or €70 million on the last week of August, take the €60 now and get it over with.

I dont think there is anyway we sign Tel if Bayern didnt owe us money for Kane. Its another convenient, opportunustic deal that suits all parties rather than what was really required for the team given we already have 2 young wingers that prefer playing off the left. What we needed on the left is a Son replacement, or upfront a Richarlison replacement Tel may improve over time so they've taken an easyish punt. Nothing against Tel, he may go on to be a good player but it was hardly a priority, with us its always the deal.
Money from Bayern is as money in the bank. We can borrow cheaply using it as collateral. I doubt very much its an important factor on where we purchase.

The first summer City came in for Kane, he stayed. I'd expect that to be the case this summer.

We can't sign Eze now anyway. Not when we know his preference was Woolwich. I wouldn't even entertain looking at him even if Woolwich decide they want someone else. He's done.
It's nonsense. You're believing rumours.
I'm not saying we will or won't sign him, but I don't believe he's some kind of closet Arse fan. If he goes there it's because I hate to say it, they're better than us. And they'll probably pay a lot more in wages than us.

We won't be replacing him anyway. Danso is his replacement and we've 3 young centre backs (Takai, Phillips and Vuskovic) waiting to get an opportunity. So doesn't really matter when we sell him. The club have no intention of buying another centre back.

It is believed LOL

Let's see if we heat reports later that we have agreed terms with him as well.

I'm not sure what I'll make of it if he agrees personal terms with both of us. At least that would really wind up the goons if he ends up there knowing he was also open to joining us.

Surely he has to reject our advances now. Looks terrible on his part if he's agreed personal terms with both North London rivals.

This whole “is Eze a Yid or a Goon” thing:

Any player I’ve ever spoken to (and it’s not a huge number, so unsure it’s a standard thing) didn’t have any allegiance except to the side they are playing for.

All said they were too busy playing football when they were growing up to have any single allegiance towards a team. Would that not be representative of most footballers thoughts?

I get there’s maybe a family thing about supporting a particular side, but the player themselves? Not buying it.
I'd agree with this generally, it is after all a profession and if one wants a successful career with a company they have to show some degree of loyalty towards their paymasters.

There are however exceptions e.g. some players (like BAE) have absolutely no interest in football other than plying their trade and picking up their wages while other are just like us and wear their club hearts on their sleeves....not to mention the feckers who kiss the badge when things are going well?

Anyone listening to Bent and what he says about Us and the Arse' on his radio spot would find it difficult to believe he ever donned our shirt.

You could well be right, but I think it would be a mistake and the situations are chalk and cheese.

Atletico aren’t a PL rival. Romero is far easier to replace than Kane. Kane is a top professional and once he got over not moving to City he went on to have a fantastic season, I worry the same can’t be said about Romero (open to be proven wrong on that point)

Even if Eze did support Spurs, I'm not sure he would choose us over the Scum because they pay more and will probably challenge for the title again. Yeah, we won the Europa, but they're a much better side than us currently, sadly.
