Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Some of the bed wetting in this thread is hilarious. Transfers are complicated and we have no visibility into the progress or status of transfers being worked on. Feel free to moan when all the players are back from their summer holidays and we're fully in pre-season mode, but until then it's best to be patient and enjoy the speculation rather than let it eat away at you.

I am actually really excited about the upcoming season. It will be fascinating to see how Frank sets us up, which players are at the forefront of his thinking, and which we'll move on. Whatever happens we have a massively over inflated squad so it really needs to be a lot of clearing out.

Reguilon (released)
Forster (released)
Hojbjerg (permanent transfer to Marseilles - £18m)
Werner (loan ended)
Veliz? (rumoured to be goign back to Argentina on a permanent deal)
Solomon? (great chance to sell him to Leeds for pure profit - £15m)
Gil? (time is up - needs to be moved on. signed a contract extension last year with a £15m release clause?)
Bissouma?
Richarlison?
Davies?
Phillips?
Dragusin?
Son?

Problem is I think we already have the 60m lying around already but aren't bothered spending it. I honestly see zero benefit to selling Romero. We lose our best player and probably don't replace him. And best case scenario is we go and buy a top CDM with money we already had but the owners were too tight to spend it without selling Romero.
Best player on his day… maybe… but those days don’t occur often enough for me and he clearly wants out, so I’d sell and reinvest in a decent player that wants to be here.

Or you can be in neither camp.... Didn't give the bloke a second thought that fabulous night......

On the other hand it's completely evident that - despite banging on about our trophy drought year after year - some people can't embrace that trophy 'cos Levy'.

Sad.
I didn’t think about him either that night and for a good while afterwards . But once my mind drifted back to our dear leader nothing was going to ruin the EL for me . I was in Bilbao with my son , it would be nice to have done it more often admittedly .However it being so rare probably made it extra special.

If your going to call people out at least be correct in your assessment. He disappeared for a week after the final.
It's so funny 😁. I've got around half a dozen or so stalkers following me around the forum, in various threads, demanding I explain my whereabouts in the days following the final. Like I somehow have to explain myself. Justify why I wasn't posting on a football forum for 12 hours a day lol :roflmao:

Like hundreds of thousands of other Spurs fans, I found better, more appropriate ways to celebrate than interacting with a bunch of strangers who get their kicks from Lady wrestlers farting on their face or building model aeroplanes, thanks.

Me after we won, for a week or so . :dwi:

This place, man

Exactly.

So we'd be signing him not because he's a valued target who we've long admired and helps push us up a level......But because ' we can get a very good deal'

This is our modus operandi. It's how we operate. This is the core value of ENIC's transfer policy. Sniffing around for special deals, bargains and crass exploitation.

It's absolutely disgusting.
You just wanna act like a knob for the sake of being a knob, if you cant be bothered to read the full thread no point explaining to you ...... you are just negative curmudgeon

He won us the Europa league. Clutch big game player. Can't sell him imo
Even if he’s actively looking to force his way out of the club, which given his recent behaviour you’d suggest likely?

IMHO once players start agitating for a move with vocal outbursts on social media etc., then you look to sell hopefully maximising the price if you can.

If he’s in that mindset then I’d accept the €60m and get quality in that wants to be part of the club future. I’d only keep Romero if he’s fully focused on Spurs and not staying halfheartedly.

I agree with what Thomas Allnutt of The Times said about Romero at the very start of the video.

Funny how it's more complicated for us though. And takes us longer to buy or sell players than all our rivals regardless of financial situation.
United are apparently days away from going out of business, but have no issue putting £120m down for both Cunha and Mbuemo* early in the window

*Pending still

This article doesn’t even mention ARSE. Seriously the press don’t have a clue.
But it still sends fans into a tiz, which generates clicks so....

The problem with Romero is he likely would become a hindrance rather than an asset if he wants out.
Kane got his head down for 2 seasons after being denied a move. Romero would likely act like a twat.

Why are so many people hung up on Eze, it's mental, do we even know that he's our no1 target? Like where is all this stuff coming from?

I was positive like you last week. Keep posting every day on here and we'll watch your tone gradually change.

Selling players and not replacing them isn't exactly getting me excited while woolwich have another big summer.
