To think, when contes team trashed them 3-0 at our stadium. You would never had expected the turnaround in those 3 seasons.
They are challenging for the league,whilst, we struggle for top 8.

and they keep strengthening every Summer while we buy kids who aren't ready and don't strenghten our first team.

The gap between us is growing exponentially! Its scary. Its going back to the early 2000s. Its only a matter of time before they start winning again and we'll just be a team of kids who get beat twice by them every single season!

It is one of those times were football the job and football the hobby are two vastly different things.

For fans, it is one club and one club only. We ride or die with our clubs for the most parts.

Players, managers and people who just want to work in the sport in any way cannot be that picky. Because there are only so many positions in the sport to go around.

Raul and Guti, two certified Real Madrid greats, were childhood Atletico de Madrid fans for example. Raul was even in the Atleti youth system up until he was 14-15 when Atleti closed down their academy.

He was the best player we could sign this summer that was REALISTIC. We aren't signing Rodrygo, Xavi Simons, Wharton or Baleba. We know that. Eze felt realistic and a potential game changer for us.

Now we know there is no top player coming this summer. Thats why its such a kick in the teeth. We will sign some unknown players now and just hope they surprise us and come good! But we won't be signing a ready made top player.

Find it difficult to outright object to the signing of EZ (or the scandinavian DM lad with the AFC tattoo) simply on the basis of what club they chose to follow when they we kids. In a perfect world all our signings grew up Lilywhite; but we don't live in that world....

Absolutely. Couldn't give a shit who they supported. It only seems to matter if they supported a rival though.

You don't see people going on about who our other acquisitions followed when they were kids.

Rooney was a Toffee as a kid, Carragher too. If they're English, there's a high chance that they supported someone other than Spurs. Do we bin off signing them as well?
 
Kane was reportedly on £200k about 5 years ago, with Son at that time I think on £170k or maybe £190k?

If we sign Eze then I actually think it will close between us and then in the league this season 1 or 2 places in it. We have a better coach IMO

Problem is every other top team will be thinking the same and we ain't competing with anyone.

If we don't get a clear run all to ourselves for a player then we don't sign him. Ange's seductive phone calls were the only times this didn't happen where he convinced Tel and Dragusin to join us over United and Bayern. Both times Spurs paid less wages than the other two were offering, so not sure how the hell Ange convinced them!

Anyway, now we are back to being tight little Spurs who can only sign players if nobody else is in for them. Because we won't match their salaries.

Levy isn’t able to negotiate big deals like Rodrygo, Simons or Wharton.

No point even discussing players like that.

I don't think it's done anyway so no idea why people are melting, the report literally says that Arse have registered interest and shortlisted him, and so what? Does that suddenly mean he's off the market, I don't get it?

Can't take anything what these tenuous reports say with any validity anyway, they'e all guessing and speak shit purely for clicks and engagement designed for the thirsty football fans who pine for the next dopamine hit of transfer news.

A valid source says he wants Woolwich and has already agreed personal terms with them. If Woolwich want to pay the 60m in 3 installments then he's their player. Woolwich are just waiting to see if they can get someone better first.
