I'm no Face Reading expert.... But he looks pretty happy to me!!

Is a very fair point

Big 6 just sounds like PR spin for the PL to make out it’s more competitive than it really is, when the reality is that the winner has been from a very predictable group since the league started
We're only part of any "Big 6" 'cos of the size of our Fanbase, and History....

Everton were part of the 'Big 5' once upon a time, but that was justified cos they've at least won the League in our lifetimes (I speak for myself, obviously... Not the rest of you Gen Z'ers,!)

Chelsea and Man City have 'Gatecrashed the party's and swollen the numbers if anything at Everton's expense...

We're still in that weird Grey Area Twilight Zone of being regarded as a big club, but behaving like a mid-table one...
Hence our "Scalp" when we're beaten is still lauded and derided by others...
That's summit Frank will have to get used to...
Brentford lose a game, it's last on MOTD and no one really notices from one week to the next...
WE lose a game, and it's front page headlines of Crisis and Spursy and anything else they've been throwing at us
..

UNTIL NOW!

We've got to remember WHY we're a big club, and start acting like it.

Tying Romero down for Y least this season, and making at least 2, if not 3 marquee 1st team signings WILL send the right message out there... and then they can all fuck off of our backs and start picking on ArseAnal!

Why are we believing every "news" out there, and "news" that aren't even from news outlets/journalists, but Twitter acounts from som wanker just like you and me???

When do you think the club became one of the big 6?

If you count back 25 years since Levy/ENIC took over (2021-1976) the club won more trophies then..
Not sure exactly when, but since 2009, so in the last 16 years, we've finished in the top 6 no less than 13 times - the line is probably different for everyone, but for most people after a number of consecutive top 6 finishes, usually with the same other 5 teams, that's reasonable to consider us 'one of the big 6'. So for me it was probably some time around 2012 or something like that. (Others may prefer trophies as a measure, and hence not consider us one of the big x (whatever number they choose there, perhaps to suit a preordained agenda), which is fine - I'm just trying to answer your question by giving you my own view on it - for me, the league is your bread & butter, and the best indicator of where you are as a team, much more so than winning trophies (or indeed not winning trophies, which is the normal status of 99% of teams)).

What I've noticed is that we (and I 100% include myself in this) are super quick to believe anything negative transfer-news wise, but very cynical about anything that sounds positive!

It's who we are mate.

Just 2 more weeks before the inevtiable Ali Gold quote

"It is my understanding that Thomas Frank has been pleasantly surprised by the talent already in the Spurs squad and they will only go into the transfer market if they can find a unique opportunity"
