The Booker Prize is better as it is broader in its reach, although its main focus is on fiction.

Schindler's Ark, for example, is a Booker Prize winner and is one of the best novels I have ever read. Written by an Aussie no less.
I think any potential candidature on my part is probably wishful thinking at this stage.

Now the follow-up, which I've just started, that's another story, in a very real and meaningful sense.

Ha!

My book's a historical tale of intrigue, murder and madness set in the 18th-century court of Philip V, who believed he was a frog.

I mean, who hasn't at one time or another?

I’m ruling out Farage

It's not about slamming Kudus - kid had a terrific first season and an okay second. I don't even give a shit he's West Ham and was a cunt a la Matty Cash/Yates against us.

It's about not wanting to spend 50 or 60 mil on him just cause the pikeys are in the shit...and wanting us to sign someone one or two levels above. Same as with Tel really.

Like I said earlier, imagine who we could sign with that 80-90 mil plus their combined wages. But we always go for quantity over quality.

Let's not even talk about how poor Mikey Moore & co aren't gonna get mins cause our Dear Leader prefers foreign imports for commercial purposes.

I don't know what to tell you.

That's not how we operate. Nothing suggests we're changing.

Can't work out why Eze is not in a Spurs shirt right now. Tick's all the boxes, including his own desires, for me!
If Mbuelo's support for Man Utd is greater than his desire to play CL football, then so be it...
I like the idea of players playing for the clubs they support....

Which lead us to Eze...
By all accounts, his entire Family are Spurs, but according to some, HE'S a Gooner... But I think that's just wild speculation cos they rejected him as a kid....

Hmmmm.... puts me in mind of someone else rejected by Woolwich... :kanehand:

He turned 27 yesterday mate

And the bottom line is just that he is a better footballer today than any of the attacking alternatives we've been connected to.

Probably the best player in the Premier League not playing for one of the 8 mega-money sides? Perhaps even the best not in the Big Six? (Isak I guess)
However, it doesn’t matter if Eze has good stats compared to non big 6. Hes worse than Maddison.

They have almost identical xg (ignoring pens) and identical xA. However, Maddison has 25% more assists and 60% more goals per 90.

We have limited funds and we should spend it where we need it not on luxury players. We need RW, DM and probably a defender a lot more than a CAM or LW.

Hes worse than Maddison.
I don't agree with this (and I love Maddison), don't agree that he couldn't fit or be made to fit in our front line, and just generally feel like it's rarely so simple as to be able to transfer those funds to an "equivalent" player as a 6 or wherever else.

Sure-thing PL stars with 68M release clauses don't come around every day, and even less so as crowd-pleasing London lads keen to join us.

To your earlier post, I don't disregard the issues with fitting the team together while forcing Eze into it, but I am ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN he will not be a "waste of money" and among the candidates that have been named in this thread, he is one-of-a-kind in that respect.

Spoke to her at work once or twice *BLATANT I've worked with Jenna Ortega comment* ...so I guess that's basically the equivalent of the club showing an interest in the player....

Fortunately she spoke back, so that's a bit like Spurs opening negotiations with that player....

But since working with her, she still hasn't returned my 1078 messages, (the club puts in multiple derisory offers which were rejected out of hand) so I guess the deal's dead in the water!!

Hopefully Spurs have more luck with our targets!

At least she didn't call security on me!

I once had dinner with Pixie Lott and she asked me to refill her glass with water cause the jug was out of her reach. That was her coming on to me, right? Forget that our date was attended by 500 people or so...she asked me!

Well factually Eze was less productive than Maddison last season.

So what do you like about him? Is he a better passer? I don’t think so.

He’s a better dribbler but kudus is the best in the prem for that….

Eze is a great player but he’s not what we need. I don’t understand why you think dropping 70m on him wouldnt impact what we could spend on areas of much greater need.
