Have we been linked to any difference-maker in midfield?

Think it's wishful thinking tbh.

Tel, Kudus and cheap punt from Europe in midfield will be our lot.
Stiller would be the difference maker in midfield that’s semi-gettable. He might see us as beneath the level he’s aiming for but would be worth trying.

Wharton’s never happening in a million years, they’ll want crazy, crazy money for him, if they’d even sell him at all with Eze and Guehi already likely leaving.

They’re the two that would really elevate us with their passing ability from midfield.

He's a good player in the "real world" too. He has generally looked good for Liverpool when he has played, his issue has been injuries preventing a consistent run. He played 34 times for a title challenging Liverpool side last season and contributed to 9 goals in a tidy midfielder role. This season he looked set to do well but then an early injury and it was only towards the end of it he was fit.

He needs a move and to not be injured but the quality has always been there with him, he was unbelievable in the championship at a very young age and has racked up 92 appearances for a generally title challenging Liverpool side at the age of 22.

Comparisons to Kulu are dishonest. Give Elliott 2400 minutes in the Prem and a more key role and he hits at a minimum similar numbers whilst not lumbering about and losing the ball every five minutes either. Kulu has had one good season for Parma in Italy and two excellent half seasons for us. That's it. He's just had more of a platform in a worse side.

Or maybe Elliot has had it easy playing in dominate sides ?
Where as kulu hasn't who just happened to get 11 goal involvements in 32 league games(which was considered a poor season for him) in a team routinely getting battered and from what I read on here being 'coached' by someone who isn't even league two class. Elliot never managed getting to Kulus level in a garbage supposedly uncoached team even when playing a similar amount of games under a legend like klopp and with elite forward players...

Dude...there names. As long as it's not racism or homopbia it's blokes ( and a few esteemed women) having a laugh. Whilst Spurs disappoint us, seriously life will 100% sadly get round with the real shit stuff, try not to sweat this nonsense.
I used to believe sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you but then I fell into a printing press

Kulu hasn’t beat this total in any of his 3 full seasons for us. It was only his first 6 months when we were flying under Conte where he put up good g/a numbers.

Another one who I haven’t seen mentioned is Boubacar Kamara at Villa. More of a destroyer than Stiller or Wharton, but he’s Prem proven, coming into his prime at 25, yet to sign a new contract ant Villa and they have their PSR issues.

Smells like exactly the sort of deal Levy lives for.

I’ve been watching him in the cash cow(for some) World Cup. And I’ve seen him in videos of brasilero games.
He’s a really good player but he’s not a 6. As I’ve said before he’s more a box to box player. Not something we need. He’s a good tackler though and beats his first man most the time, creating space for himself.
With Levy’s McScrooge policy it’s not worth it. If we were getting say Eze/Simmons Kudus Hjulmund a LB and striker and we still wanted to spend money he’d be a good pick up. Probably an upgrade on Bentacor though you never know till they play in the epl.

We should at least leak some tweets that we have 'renewed interest' in the player, and arrange the tweets so that you have to click Show More for the parts saying "no offer is being made" "no formal contact" "Spurs valuation is no higher than 1.5k" "Player says he'd rather take a boot in the bollocks"
What's interesting about Man U's situation is all of these signings depend on unloading four fairly large contracts. I think that is why the Mbeumo deal hasn't gone through. I doubt it is so much the amount, but when it gets paid.

Reading that Kumb thread the majority don’t rate him and are happy to pull out pants down. we’d be absolute mugs to sign him. We’d be all wanting rid in 12 months. Another big waste of money. The talk of other clubs wanting him is bollocks as well imo just trying to create interest. I’d rather buy no one in that position than him.
I've got mixed emotions. When you watch him you can see he's a powerful player and he can play different positions. But will he be one of those players who looks great on a highlight reel but doesn't generate production? I think he could go either way. Then again, I'm not as sold on Eze as others are. Maybe the most interesting player out there now is Dibling, but the asking price is now far beyond what Spurs could swing.

The insight of that Ali Gold cretin:

“From what I understand, there’s nothing more than interest at this stage from Tottenham," said Gold.

"Sometimes when I get told that by various people, it’s because the club have got an inkling that they want to go elsewhere.

“It could just be the finances aren’t quite where they want them to be at this stage of the window, or it could be a variety of things – I’m not saying it’s one of those things.

“Presumably there will be more to it, and it will come out in the fullness of time, or maybe that’s just the case for now and they do kick into gear and make a move for him.”
Don’t sit on the fence or anything Ali

A lot of people seem fixated on Kudus' personality as purely negative.

Frankly I think a few more ambitious egos around the place is a good thing, and Frank is the manager to screw their heads on a little tighter and keep it team-focused. Romero aside, we've barely a solid shithouser in the group - Bergvall still in training.

Not to mention this chat of him being a Spam reject - they need money and are selling a higher value asset. Shit season last year but the lad's got some serious tekkers - X factor that few of our squad has. Reckon this one gets done in second week of July.
