Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Them two were wrapped in cotton wool and eased back in slowly after months being out injured - VDV being taken off in his return game. That means fuck all he didn’t change up anything in the league to try and get more points he just stuck to his bs tactics with ill fitting players. We were just a hideous side under him for 18 months is that not obvious?
We won the cup going completely against his whole speil and stank the place out in a lot of the games.
The round of 16 was what March? Qtr final mid April so a month or 6 weeks of the league season left.
Of the 22 league defeats how many can be attributed to this genius plan? We lost a shit load of games last season too - fuck all to do with concentrating on a cup.
This form had also been happening for an unbearable amount of games before the latter Europa stages.
league form was shit and unacceptable but it its clearly fact that we binned off the league to win the Europa League.

I don't know why people can't just accept that. From February onwards we were resting our best players in the league and prioritising Europe. The proof is in the fact that Romero and VDV played no league games together!

I know you hate Ange and don't rate him. I'm not an Ange aplologist. I'm glad he's gone. But I really don't know why people can't accept that reality that we did bin off the last few months of the league to win the Europa. Romero said it himself in an interview. Thats why the squad were still so united after 22 league defeats, they were all focused on Europe! We were using the league games to rotate the squad and keep players fresh. Hence why the bad league form didn't make the squad turn on the manager. They were all focused on Europe!

Don't get your panties in a wad.

And stop saying things that just aren't true. You're upset cause I don't rate players the way you do and you feel I'm harsh towards your little favourites like Tel or Odobert...boohoo cry me a river.

I rate some of our players and praise them - even the ones I don't like - when credit's due. But I'm not gonna go OTT and, for instance, call an average & lazy LB the next Roberto Carlos or a CB who plays 20 games a season for us a club legend and Spurs' version of Baresi. Like I won't wet my knickers over a Bayern reject who didn't move mountains for us last season. You don't like it, so be it.

Oh and there's plenty players who aren't ours that I bash, so again you're talking rubbish.

Tbh with you mate, I didn’t read all that.

Sure it was great tho

Kudus is just as likely to be a complete flop as he is to find form and consistency. Not against it but we need three first teamers like Eze, Osihmen, Guehi or Locatelli as well
We do but as is clear.... eze is going to a big more successful club in Woolwich, Osihmen wants insane wages thta even clubs like Chelsea are steering clear of, Guehi is going to a bigger more successful club in Liverpool. Its all well and good wanting those players, but when you are talking rwady to go in their prime players its insanely competitive

That's a good point actually. I believe that Liverpool didn't buy anyone last Summer, then brought in Mamardashvilli and Chiesa in January?

Obviously, they had a more complete squad then, but they still kept their powder dry and allowed Slott to assess over the course of the season.

The standout difference is that now that they are moving in the market, they're shopping in the top tier. Being Prem Champions is obviously a huge help there though.

Financially FSG have just rid the Red Sox of one players contract costing 348 million dollars, so they are really moving money around to help finance the Liverpool signings.

Most of their signings are not from "top tier" clubs, just finding the right fit, something we luck ourselves into doing every now and then.

Kudus has a great attitude.

Fire in the belly.

Wants to win.

What does “making a good fist of things in the cups” do for anyone?

Surely our ambitions need to be higher than Villa as the bench mark?

Levy wants to win the PL and CL. If we get top 5 or a trophy this season then I’ll believe he might have a chance of doing either eventually.

Outside the top 6 and I’d be looking at what coaches are on the market.
Well considering our squad is not good enough to compete on multiple fronts - proven by Ange in both Season 1 and 2 - if Frank gets us top 7 and we have a cup run CL QF and/or FA cup SF I will be happy with that this season, it will be a solid base to build from. Hopefully Levy we change the habit of a lifetime and back him after that

I do agree that the wages are the real issue.

However;

I'm not really that sure that Eze is the player Spurs need at the moment.

I think baulking at the fee Bournemouth are asking for Semenyo is probably the right call too.

I'm very underwhelmed by the pool of talent available to be honest.

Kudus probably is the best signing Spurs could make at this point.

That says as much about what is available than it does regarding Spurs ambition in my opinion.

I agree with that.

I just think that we have plenty of options in that area of the pitch, and could spend sixty to seventy million in other areas more important.

Kudus would be an excellent addition, in an area of the pitch that we are needing to improve.
