I think Kudus being a better player than Eze is the ridiculous part
There are arguments that a left footed right sided attacker would do much more to elevate our squad than Eze who doesn’t really have a natural fit in our team

It shouldn't as the womens team are a totally seperate entity to the men, I'm not going to pretend I watch them or care much though. This isn't AFTV...
But I'm just getting more and more wound up by the lack of movement.
This has got 1 out of 10 window written all over it and then we are in serious trouble next season believe me.
We don't even try to get these players if there's serious competition .. we fucking fold. Maybe he would pick them, but maybe if we offered 200k a week and tried to get it done within the first few weeks he'd have decided to come here. Of course we would never do this...

We do need a right winger and as i said i'd be happy enough with Kudus if we add another quality player along the front line. Its about options, someone that can play off the left or central negates Maddisons injuries and allows us to move Son and Solomon on.
Especially since 1. like Eze, Kudus really considers himself a number 10 rather than an out and out winger, so the idea that he's a better fit is a bit illusory and 2. he's barely any cheaper!
If we sign Kudus for 60M while Eze goes to Woolwich for 68M, I mean, hope for the best, stranger things have happened than that working out, but the probability of disaster is high and that's going to become the next Nelsen and Saha where it just never stops being a stick to beat Levy with.
The Lo Celso vs Fernandes situation was never nearly as clear-cut as this.

Because they are challenging at the top year in year out, were in the semi finals of the champions league, any player looking at us and them right now picks them, their sqaud and team is way better than ours. I dont think a single one of our starting level bar Son (if he was fully fit) gets into their starting level. Last season they didnt challenge really but the 2 season before they got very very close.
That is not true. Eze has shown a higher ceiling so far. His FA cup performances are better than anything Kudus has ever produced.
I'd put them on about even. Both great players when they're on form. Kudus has more pace, but less lethal in front of goal.
Kudus is 3 years younger, so a much better prospect for future, which is in line with our strategy, it seems.
Either would take us forward.
They have been higher than us for 3-4 of the last 12 twelve seasons. Before that it was all us.
And they only really put in a proper title challenge in one of those seasons and it wasn't last season.
The rest weren't close.
The reason their squad is better than ours is we keep buying mid players like Kudos when players like Eze are available.

Eze is clearly the better all round player, obviously. Home grown too.

We don't usually agree but you are spot on here. We were more than capable of singing Eze and Mbeumo but we aren't coming in with 200k a week offers. Instead we are trying to bargain them down and hoping nobody hijacks us. If anyone bigger comes in then we are gone. I've a funny feeling the same thing will happen with Kudus now too where if Chelsea just decide they want him then they'll get him because they'll happily pay 150-200k a week. We are probably trying to get him for closer to 120k a week

They will need to go one better this season otherwise, I think it's gone for them for a while.
