Strange how Poppa? Papa? Angappop? ….the Greek ow er at Forest did not know about the release clause at his own club but knew all about the problem concerning the ownership at Palace and Lyon.

The likely scenario is that an NDA was breached - with information leaked to a third party.

It won’t affect the overall contractual obligations but a potential claim could be made alongside.

In which case surely you make the claim against whoever leaked it (i.e. Blatantly the agent)........ Not us.

Alternatively, the players agent leaked the clause to us and it is an illegal approach that has precedent in PL. Olise to Chelsea and Suarez 40m+1p to Woolwich were two deals that were cancelled due to similar circumstance.

The release clause fee, is the release clause fee.

If it sounds cheap, who put the contract together at Forest is at fault.

Club and player signed it.
