feel like you probably owe Vicario a few apologies
He’s had two excellent games, but he still gives me the heebeegeebees when he has the ball at his feet and doesn’t command his area well enough.
There was one cross where he came for the ball, completely missed it and we were fortunate that there were defenders beyond him to clear it.
He’s got some way to go with me before I’m entirely convinced he’s our future,

Back to back sensational games, and that's coming from someone who's on the more critical side.
That save on Beto's bicycle kick early in the second half alone makes it sensational for me; since it was both so difficult to execute on the wrong foot, and was also vital in terms of preventing a crucial momentum swing in a potential turning point.
Navigated set pieces reasonably well too. Well done.

I’ve always said he’s a good shot stopper, but so was Gomes!
He’s awful with the ball at his feet and can’t command his area well enough. Two characteristics that are vital for a top keeper in today’s game.

Bicycle kick save was fantastic. Those are really hard to read because you are never expecting an overhead kick and you don’t get to practice them often either.
The save from the deflection through danso’s legs was also a good one as Vicario was unsighted.

I agree, and I hope he regularly puts in the performances that he has the last two games for the rest of the season.
Both of which Lloris exhibited for years.

Hmmmm, I’m not sure about that.
I’d agree Hugo had become a bit of a liability in the last season or so but at his peak I’d say he was an equal of Vic shot stopping, but didn’t flap quite so much. Both not great on the ball though.
