TBH it's the equivalent of when a company claims to have learnt from really bad employee feedback, and after all the noise about being engaged and caring, you get free fruit in the office and a 'discretionary' bonus of about £40 at christmas.
All it's doing is giving fans ammo to get after them when we continue to sign shit and leave the manager short in key areas.
Think we just need to burn it all down and forget spurs ever existed

It was bad enough before when people started attributing "ITK" bullshit as "The club said".

It was much better for me to accept that we didn't have the funds to chase £80m players on a whim. This is all very much the equivalent of that flakey mate everyone has who always says they'll be there but they back out last minute - you just want honesty and ambition, not to be blue balled every window.

The last thing we need is "the club" now punting out promises that it won't deliver on.

The issue with the 'big' clubs is every time they give Brighton, Bournemouth or Brentford £60m for a player, they go out and buy 3 more. Funding their progress

If ENIC had of swallowed their pride and brought Poch back in 2023 we’d be a good side by now. Even if we made the same signings we made. The guy has got a system that scales perfectly to where we want to be as a club. Nuno, Frank and Ange don’t.

Interesting that the ENIC in vote has remained stoically at 16% since Levy had his arse booted up Tottenham High Road.
Seems Shady is the only poster that's switched sides because of it. Vocally at least🤷‍♂️

The protests have stopped though which is hilarious
The protests were predominantly aimed at the face of ENIC. your father figure.
I guess most fans are waiting to see if the new board minus Levy are going to back their words up with actions.
The transfer window hasn't even opened yet 😂

Edit: My guess is any protests this side of January would be aimed at Thomas Frank. Daniel's parting gift

I mean they weren't were they...they were aimed at ENIC, we saw the banners and we've seen the sentiment over the years that that ENIC are the problem, as I said before you swiftly changed your mind over the past few days rather strangley that you yourself acknowledged that they are the main problem yet now you want to 'wait and see' what they cook up in January lol what.

Yet Levy has left (well done protestors yay) yet the root cause are still around and yet folk are silent...all that Change for Tottenham and all that apparently accomplished something by getting the face of the company out which will be absolute music to ENIC'S ears because once again the pressure is firmly off them and they can do what they usually do and fade into the background whilst someone else takes the blame, brilliant.

Kane wouldn't exist in the modern game TBH - clubs don't seem to give academy players a chance to show much in the 'key' positions (e.g. 1 up front or the GK).

For me, the Redknapp years were peak because we had two full strength 11s, plus he'd happily throw games out to academy prospects away in -1 temps at Lufdenboggolog AK. Plus we didn't really need ITK as Harry would wobble his chops to any mic about everyone we were scouting.

Poch's era (despite popular belief) ruined the academy side, and the Mourinho/Conte era brought in a lack of identity for the club IMO. The Ange era was a shit version of the Redknapp one, without rotation or a academy. I don't really feel like Frank is getting a fair judgement coming in to clean up having to rebuild something from a squad that has had no Maddison or Kulusevski, and not a lot of Solanke or Udogie, and no Son.
Kudus and Palhinha were a breath of fresh air when they first joined the club, move forward a few weeks and it's like the Spurs spectre, the phantom of new White Hart Lane, has been along to cast the hex on them.

It's seems like the reason the club signs players disappears shortly after they join. Kulusevski and Bentancur were excellent signings when they first joined. It didn't take long for them to be infected, complaints about Kulusevski's lack of pace and predictably cutting inside each time. The same thing is happening to Spence, he was spoken of highly playing on the left a couple of months ago, now he's been described as a liability playing there.

There's some sort of unhealthy shared psychology at the club. I don't know if that's what Conte was alluding to with his sack me please rant.

Conte wasn't alluding to anything tbh - he was just deflecting.

I think the players are way more sensitive to the home crowd that people would think and are affected by the negativity. Previous squads have said the same thing

You could well be correct, and not much or even nothing will change now that Levy has gone because ENIC are still here.

It won't take long to figure out nothing has changed, and then the ENIC out themes will restart. I suppose what I mean is people probably feel that the new face of ENIC needs to be given a chance, supporters aren't going to react to nothing, so need to wait and see how things go.

He was saying something like 'these players don't want to fight' I can't remember his exact words but it seems like he was right, and those words still ring true now.

they all perked up for Mason, even if his experience wasn't on par
You mean Mason's stint after Stellini? Or the first stint when we lost the cup final?

Son and Kane carried the team pretty much since Pochettino was sacked, and as I said on this forum before, the best spell the team has had since then is Conte's first season when we ended the season 4th, I don't think Mason or anyone else had the team playing any better than that.

You can blame Conte if you like but the players have been meh for every manager apart from during the first part of Conte's tenure. I really do think there's something negative in the club that gets psychologically passed to new players.

I wouldn't say it started with a bang because we didn't win any of our first 4.

I do think, overall, what you're describing is the apathy/adaption to finishing in the top 4. There were times where we way more satisfied with what little we got (e.g. finishing in the top 8) that has melted away into a loftier expectation that has soured the overall experience. Similar to people generally being much happier, like Burnley fans I guess, winning the 2nd division with 100 points and goals versus being battered about in the bottom 3 of the top tier.

It'll be similar with Wrexham fans, who may be happy to stay up in the Championship, but will soon be completely pissed off with wasting season after season not threatening promotion - yet 2 or 3 season ago they were delighted to be staying in the football league. People's enjoyment of anything is based on perception and context, and I don't think we'd enjoy the Jol or Redknapp seasons anywhere near as much if they were happening right now.

What I do remember about the 90s was how Sugar always found an angle to ruin anything decent we had.

We won 3 of our first 4 in 94/95 only losing narrowly against Man United away. IIRC, we should have had a corner, didn't get one, and they literally score from the ensuing play.
Edit, I think it was the away game at OT that happened. Unsurprisingly.

You're on the wrong season. 95/96 is when we replaced Klinsmann and Popescu with Armstrong/Sinton/Fox
