If the speculation is true, and let's not dismiss it might be Johnson's agent putting it out there, but common sense would ask why a manager like Emery would want him?

Frank has been a huge disappointment so far and his use of Johnson, over players who are barely doing anything of note, a bit hard to grasp.
Perfect for Villa. They hardly use wide wingers, keeping it all very central, so Johnson won’t have the “beat a man and put a cross in” issue he has here.

Their present right sided forward is John McGinn, hardly a fleet footed winger.

And I guarantee you that if Johnson does leave,be it Villa or wherever, someone might even use him differently.

I am not here to say Johnson is a world beater by any stretch but Frank's use of him has been shocking when you consider how we have fared.

And when I see a player like Kudus who just runs into blind alleys so nuch of the time, I'm utterly frustrated by it all.

I loved that big hard handsome dog. Animal. His tackle with Stuart Pearce in a midweek cup game at Forest was the greatest 50/50 I’ve ever witnessed. Both full on trying to hurt each other but both got the ball. Total respect between them.
Another one I remember from I think 90/91 season against Luton. Pat Van Den Hauwe and Ceri Hughes both sprinting and jumping two footed at the same time to get a stationary ball. In my memory the ball shot up into the air and both players just got and on with the game. Good times.

If somebody gets lightly brushed in the face by a trailing hand then goes down like they have been shot that should be a yellow card in my opinion. It's simulation to try and get an opponent booked.

A bit like Konate the other night when he went through the back of Romero who then reacted. Yes Romero was stupid to kick out but Konate holding his fingers because they got kicked is not a reason to fall to the ground.

It is ridiculous, but when you google it, most sites have his wages down as. 300k a week.

Bizarre, as like you say, even if they’d offered him £120k a week, he’d surely have bitten their hand off.

I never understand it myself. It makes an odd situation in football, like a bell curve, where teams that should be able to attract players with pure prestige overpay them, then in the middle you have normal teams paying normal wages, and the other side there are shit teams over-paying players in lieu of prestige.

If you're a league title chasing team, you should really be able to be bonus-related in wages and not have to pay 10x wages

They do it to fuck the wages and transfer markets for other clubs like ourselves. Chelsea started similar when Abramovich came in and inflated the transfer market.

Deano with some bits and bobs. Only open if you like disappointment. He was the first to link us to Savinho in the summer if you remember. So surprisingly not the nonsense peddling merchant we'd assume working at Teamtalk.

oh, and Merry Christmas!

United have pushed Mainoo out the door. Why wouldn't we ask the question? He even has a calf injury, tell me that's not a Spurs player.
He doesn’t really solve our passing issue though. He’s just another midfielder who carries the ball well, but doesn’t pass it that well.

Having said that he would give us that option to give the defenders an out ball to pass to because he is very good on the half turn shielding the ball.

We are going to loan Savinho for the second half of the season. He will be Werner levels of rubbish but we will still pay the 70m to buy him in the summer whereby he will continue to be rubbish. It's just the way it is.

Not a whiff of a move for anyone, and before it's said, silence for us does not any longer mean great buy.

I would have no idea who Frank would even want and even less confidence it would be a worthwhile expense.

Amazing.

I think you only acquire second tier talent if they know they will be 1 of 2 or 3 at the same time.

So if we say Andersen or Ndiaye are in that bracket,I think they are only tempted if they feel and see that they are part of a big rebuild.
