Akliouche can play on the left as well and in fact has significant amount of minutes there for Monaco, makes sense if we want to play a wide creator but seems odd to me to target a player who would do that from the left given we don't really have a bombing wing back on the left who we can reliably keep fit, unless this Souza is first team ready and fits that bill.
Actually think he could be a bang tidy CM, IDK if you can get away with him and Simons in the same midfield though, doesn't put himself about much so would need pairing up with IMO Gallagher and Palhinha but that could be a surprisingly effective and functional midfield actually, both Gallagher and Jones look to get the ball up the pitch much more than our current crop.
