Nah, of course not, just relying on the three shittiest teams to ever come up and getting the most loses without going down.

We lucked out properly last season.

Narrator: "Ginola'sLeftBollock was a big supporter of Thomas Frank who was sacked as Tottenham are actually now in a genuine relegation battle. Ginola'sLeftBollock doesn't like to discuss this because it's more important to talk about the manager he hated who won Tottenham's first European Trophy for 40 years. "

If you're gonna bring up nuance and context, then do it for both side of the argument, and don't cherry pick 17th whilts ignoring fifth and a Europa Cup.

Its lore now that we focused on the Europa at the expense of the league as the primary objective last season, this season and next season and everyone after, is Champions League football. After his interview yesterday we now know Champions League money is critical for investing in new players.

We were never getting relegated, if we were than a different approach would have been taken.
Where have I said we never won anything? So your making stuff up.

I am fully aware we won the EL. I also remember watching one of the shit 90 minutes of football in PL history and heavily relying on the Shittiest Manu team in PL history, so shit they couldn't score against a team that couldn't string two passes together, and never been so angry at what I am seeing on the pitch during a match...

So yeah, I remember, with context and nuance, and VdV doing a wonder clearance...

But THAT is the context under which he focused on winning the Europa.

No doubt 17th was not a targeted, but relegation was not happening in the context of the of the clubs below us being worse.
If you say so... He was just shit an mismanaged the squad so poorly, he made a bad situation worse. He was just a stubborn arrogant prick.

He didn't even pick Djed, until he little had no else to pick.

He was crying about injuries, but then criminally under used Djed and Reg, to give Udogie and Porro a break.

He was his own worst enemy.

People like you are just so deluded, and ignore so much. It's just shocking.

What a fucking snide little cunt, what, your replacements both get sacked on the same night and that's licence for you to crawl out of the woodwork and prolong your time in the limelight that bit longer on the Overlap sticking the boot in on the club you once professed to have some special affinity with? Notice Pochettino managed to give an interview about us just last week and has done so in the past with us in a similar position in the table without shitting all over us, despite having far more licence to do so and having managed one of our two arch-rivals for a season, giving him free reign to cut ties with us.

If the second and third relegated teams had not been so bad last year, we would have been in just a much trouble as we are now, and they wouldn't have been able to fuck off from he league in order to do the Europa.

If it were the same as this year, in a battle with a resurgent Spam and only a tottering Forest and Leeds between us and oblivion, we'd have been worse off because we couldn't have made a managerial change to save us. Ange was being kept solely due to Europa but we were in a similar spiral. At least this year we can hope a new manager bounce or a no manager bounce will yield the needed points for survival.

Spurs were never at any risk of relegation last season. Always comfortably 15+ points above the drop zone. They were able to drop focus on the EPL.

This season is a different kettle of fish. Just 5 points off the drop zone, with an in form West Ham picking up points. Spurs MUST win games or will be at real risk. Ideally, Spurs need to focus on getting some points ASAP to remove the risk of relegation - and to allow them to focus 100% on the Champions League games. The message to the club, the coach and the players is - WE CAN AND WILL WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.

The premier league now is nothing more than a distraction. Get some points, create a buffer; then bin it.

I am glad we won the cup, as it got that BS empty cupboard tag off us and all that crap... And we won a fucking cup in European final, against ManU that will be forever written in the history books... Fecking love that bit...

But I am not going to ignore the performance of that game, as it made me so angry watching the match, the league performances, the humiliation week after week, the piss poor squad management that just made everything wrong, and everything else I have pointed out for the last few months.

I even agree with lots of what he said in that interview with Phil Fuck-knuckle, because he is right on many things. I also hate the way the media are trying to frame it, that he said Spurs are not a big club. He was clearly referring to the wage structure, not the club it self, and TalkShyte was the worst offender for that, twisting his words. But Talkshyte were right to point out that he royally fucked himself as well, he was his own worst enemy, his stubbornness, his refusal to play players that would have have allowed his first choice players to have a fecking break, and Porro running on empty for months on end.

It was a complete shit fest last season, and no cup winning could ever hide the state we was in at the end.

And I find it abhorrent, that so called fans are trying to do this, wilfully ignoring the reality of all. It's not on, not on at all.

Are you thick, boy? We were never at risk because Leicester only had 25 points!

We have been utter shite this year but already have a point total that would have kept us up last year!

If we'd have needed 36, 38 points last year and not been able to change the manger we'd have been properly fucked!

But that the lack of context that people hide behind. In any other season up until that point, we would have gone down. We were 13 points of relegation, not 15+, so why lie?

More to the point, as people have been pointing out, the three teams that went down, were abysmal, only getting 25, 22, 12 points. The worst in PL... we got 38 fucking points, 38... That is atrocious and we relied so heavily on the other three teams being so poor...

Well, that's entirely the point. Last season we were comfortably outside the relegation zone and never at risk. We could afford to take the foot off the gas.

This season not so much. West Ham have found form, and Forest won't go down without a fight.

Nuance and only contact only matter if they're his arguments. I missed the context and nuance with Frank according to this gentleman too.

Watching that interview, he’s bang on. Really miss that communication ability.
not too many managers have gone on something like that and absolutely dig the club out of it that they used to manage. Fawning with neville and carragher who tore him apart for 2 years. Hopped off reporters for the spursy tag yet tells the overlap oh its real.!!!
Wanting to sign players is one thing are they realistic?? Guehi for example had dippers and city after him. Never coming.

Dont get me started on his need to win every game v Scum and then throwing away 6 months of PL games.

Correct about the board i do agree but the whole interview seemed a chance to put the boot into the club while we're down tbh.
NEver explained his calamitious style of football or shambolic stint at forest

FACTS
2022/2023 We finished 8th.....No Europe.
2023/2024 We finished 5th.....missed out on 4th by 2 points.
2024/2025 We finished 17th....BUT
- We were NEVER a chance for relegation. The last 10 games we won 1, drew 1 and lost 8.
- We had the worst injury crisis ever.
- We won the EL Cup AND qualified for CL in 2025/2026.

OPINION
If we had kept Ange on, we would have won the Super Cup against PSG, and we would probably now be in the top 4 on the table.
They should of backed him for the transfers he wanted.....Neto, Mbeumo, Semenyo, Guehi.
And he'd have the dressing room 100% behind him.

All the wannabe armchair critics on here think he was a bad manager?
Looks like a bloody impressive record to me!

He is a prick. He will never manage a top club again.
Ryan mason would have won that Europa league.
He’s up there with Juande Ramos.
He is actually below Frank in my eyes as Frank got truly fucked by the board.
