Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't believe that. I also believe that the coach has a responsibility to make a credible plan to win or at least draw the game, and that none of our coaches going back to Conte have been able to form that kind of a plan for our players.

Our board/exec level discernment of what constitutes good coaching is direly lacking, and we are reaping our just rewards for that. I don't think our players have been sorted out into their best positions in the same formation except maybe one time this entire season, and seemingly that was by accident thanks to Franks endless shuffling of player positions.

The players haven't failed so much as they've literally got nothing useful to grab on to. Our coaches have been an absolute joke for three seasons running and now we have players that don't look like they know what they're doing- because they've been working on massively suboptimal strategies that whole time.
Coaches for sure have a massive influence on the team, and perhaps we havent had a good enough coach for the past three years, that i agree.

Its personally for me the manner of our performances.

In our 1-2 defeat at home to Fulham, we conceded both goals in the first 6 minutes. How bad does a tactical plan have to be to concede both goals so quickly? Players must take responsibility there, more so than the manager.

We also conceded five goals to Eze in both derbies altogether. Quite embarrassing and something the players shouldn't allow themselves, let alone the scoreline. They are professionals with pride.

If they dont respond to Igor against Palace, the question becomes - how responsible is Igor now in comparison to the players?

He's rubbish snd clearly not tactically flexible. Already looks out of his depth managing in this league.

But the fact he's an alpha male and did an angry interview calling out the referees makes me like him. Atleast he's a warrior and up for the fight. More than what Frank was. Hopefully we survive with him.

But Jesus awful appointment. Reminds me of the stellini era a bit.

It's board/exec, and Igor isn't good enough to work miracles. A miracle could still be worked, but this was a huge missed opportunity today, and heaps pressure upon us. It's starting to look all too little, too late.

I don’t know but we’ve had ZERO this season. Not many last. Nothing sticks out but I’m sure it wasn’t none lol
Looked it up - zero this season, four last season, and two in 23/24. That's six over the past three years, which is tied with Forest for fewest over that time (for clubs that have been in the league all three seasons). For comparison, Burnley have five over the same period, and they weren't even in the league last season ffs.

Chelsea have had 24 btw.

We should never appoint a manager that prioritises defence over attack.
This club has and always will be about attacking philosophy. You feel that we have drifted away from this, particularly since Poch.

Considering Ange Season 1 we had the most touches in the opponents box in the league or some shit like that

What we need to see from Tudor is the ability and willingness to pick the right players for this situation, and to get his message across.

Mostly whar he has to try and provide is some confidence into the players, which is the single biggest challenge.

Nobody but nobody tell me our players can't do better than what we have seen, although that becomes more and more hollow each game we lose.

We need real width so bad. It's just like it has been the last three- maybe five or six seasons.

Playing Palh in a diamond but not having the guts to play any width around it? Sad. And Porro is simply not the kind of player to provide the width we need- actually running at the fullbacks and trying to get around on the endline. Souza looked really good- and has only warmed the bench since.

Igor is most likely right when he has talked about our fitness levels.

Constant injuries ensures more of the same players that are available, are more likely to get injured and thus the cycle repeats, a squad that always contains injuries.

The board are massively responsible for this, multiple windows of not backing managers, including this January.

Only a Kudus provides width, as for our other wingers, they arent good enough to do the job.

At least he calls a spade a spade in the post-match.

Makes it all the more galling that we had to listen to that Danish cunt telling us how well we are performing week after week.

The man has been exposed as a proper coward.

Alot of people saying the players needed an arm round them at this difficult time but right now it seems like Igor is on the same trajectory as Conte to deliver an explosive rant by April

It's been that way for three years. Repeated injury crises could be due to Ange and Frank not conditioning them properly.

We’re really missing Maddison and Romero. Players that want to take responsibility on the ball. Too many are not helping their mate out on the ball, not really showing for it or they’re taking the easy option and it ends up going back to the goalkeeper.

People don’t want to believe this but Bentancur has been a miss as well. All the talk of him as being the problem was clearly bullshit. We’ve looked way worse in midfield since he’s been out. He’s actually got ability on the ball.

Yep I’ve just watched it now.

He’s got the measure of this bunch for sure.

I hope he drops the ones that aren’t up for the scrap even if that means putting academy players into the line up.

I’d be speaking to the academy manager tomorrow and getting a list of those he feels can contribute and get them into training.

He needs to get a couple of young midfielders in to do the running of those players who don’t want to do it. Like when Poch played Mason and Bentaleb. If he doesn’t do that then he’s digging his own grave. Bissouma, Xavi, Sarr et al aren’t going to do it for him.

At this rate, Igors rant will be this month! Palace, Atleti, Pool and Atleti again is dangerous territory for his personality, particularly if we dont beat Palace, though his eye is on PL for sure.
