Not sure where all the confidence about walking the championship is coming from. We’ve been dogshit for more than two seasons. Our squad on paper looks better than many teams but has proven to be weak and low on technical ability. Our best players are all injured or likely to be sold. Our talented youngsters are still miles of any consistency. If the champ is low on quality then we’re going to fit in well. It’s not low on determination and physicality though and we’ve hot little fight as this season has shown.
Southampton scraped into the playoffs quite late despite looking pretty decent in the cup - I wouldn’t be confident in us beating them. Look how we’ve coped against championship or lower opposition in the last few years. Add in the inevitable boost that playing us-cocky-big-rich-club-from-the-premier-league will give to every opponent, it will be far from easy.

I don’t think it’s arrogant that a club with 10X the resources of the next team in the league who will have on paper the best 5/10 players even after sales shouldn’t win that league. If we can’t win the Championship with resources that make Man City blush on a like for like basis then we might as well fold the club. Their are a few gems like Hackney in that league but it’s mostly Sarr quality at best and that is insulting Sarr to some degree even if he has been poor. This is a league where Philips and Lankshear are storming it.

Yes we should walk the league. But we still need a balanced side and enough options to cover all injury worries so we do not need to play players out of position. We desperately need more elements of goal scoring threat and creativity, but I would hope we integrate a few of the youth who can help here. Lankshear, Moore, Devine , Donley, Thompson, Olusesi and LWB all need to play a part. It would help so much to identify with the team again.

If we go down teams are going to take the opportunity to take the piss when they come in for our players especially after Levy’s transfer antics, it’ll be payback time in their eyes.

I've made peace that we are getting relegated. Watch city fighting tooth and nail to get their fixtures rearranged for an extra rest day.

Watch us paltheticly accept Chelsea on Thursday night and have a quick turnaround for Everton. That's us done. The club don't care. Beyond incompetent. And that's me done. I've thrown in the towel

Chelsea making the fa cup final should have been our advantage. We should be playing them the Tuesday after their cup final and then have 5 days to prepare for Everton. But we've allowed the Premier league to move us to Thursday. We've turned an advantage into a disadvantage.

What's the point. Nobody at the club cares anywhere near as much as we do. I'd honestly do a way better job running the club myself. How the fuck have they allowed this to happen. I give up. We deserve to be relegated. These owners are absolutely clueless and not at the races at all. Any other club would have made sure we got the Tuesday slot and refused the Thursday. I'm fuming. It's over
If I didn't actually support Spurs, I'd want them relegated too!

Odious club!!

LOL at the idea we'll just walk the championship. Having better players isn't what gets results, particularly in leagues like the championship.

We've proved this season that supposedly good players don't equal good results if their mentality is shit and that will count double in the championship.

Nothing about our last decade of player recruitment makes me think we'll pick up the right players for the league either when some of our existing overpaid primadonnas fuck off.

We're a badly run club with bad players at the moment. That won't change immediately when we go down a league.

I've seen enough this season to know that this season was scripted by the gods to extract the most amount of pain and suffering from Spurs fans as humanly possible as payback for having the cheek to win a trophy.
Or the fact, that to any normal person, winning a trophy didn't hide how shit we had become.

And Levy's flip flop again on manager styles, finally broke us.

I think.a lot of the supposedly bigger teams struggle to get player recruitment right. It feels like it's a bit of a lottery.

Look at Newcastle. Who have they really got that stands out? The filth? Villa - Morgan and Konsa maybe.

United have achieved amazing results under Carrick. Fair play. I don't see anything in them that makes me go wow, but what Carrick has done is start to get close to optimum performances from his players. Makes a massive difference to the perception of player quality. It's what Howe was doing but suddenly it's disappeared. Doesn't take much to change the mood dial. On that basis the smaller clubs face less scrutiny and are under less pressure, which might just allow for more time and scope to build a team.

We do need to buy better and find a way to identify the star player or 2 before they become realky known but it's also a very tough challenge, and right now our appeal has plummeted, which makes it even harder.

Harry Kane?? :kanehand:

The Pens are the least of our worries...
Yes, you have to be IN THE BOX to warn a pen, which we never WERE from August til April... Or thereabouts!

But I agree it's the niggly little stoppages and yellows/reds we're getting that other clubs just haven't, that is killing us!

It doesn't help when all Dermot fucking Gallagher have to do on a Monday morning is agree with the wrong decision at the weekend, and everything is forgotten!

Much as they are hated, if ANY of the big red teams get such unfair decisions, their hierarchy are ALL OVER IT complaining, and making sure it's highlighted again and again until it stops happening....
We just let it happen.

When the season is over, I would be proud if Spurs hierarchy grew a set if balls and released a full dossier showing all of the incidents that have, u fairly, gone against us.

We could easily employ a small team of people to re-watch every one of our games and highlight all of the incidents throughout.

This needs to happen. Not just for our benefit, but for the integrity of the game.
And a "fobbing off" by the refs association isn't enough.
"It's different" isn't an explanation.

Club should have bought Hayden Hackney and Lookman. Lookman was offered to us and Lange didn’t want to make a stressed purchase the fucking idiot.

A passing midfielder and winger goalscorer I am certain we would have some more points.

The injury crisis is nuts. I thought about the pitch and training ground but prior to 2-3 years ago our injuries were normal. We seem to get 1 long term injury per game right now which is just insane.
Buying Hackney in January would've been a smart purchase like Palace buying Wharton, Eze, and Olisse from the Championship. You either buy him in January for ~£20m or you miss out for good because he's going to a top club in the summer, assuming Boro don't get promoted.

sorry that's my fault , i didn't sacrifice a goat to the gods at the start of the season like i always do before each season
because i believed i didn't have to do it when we got frank appointed

Last player we did that with was Dele, or you could argue, Gray!

Schoolboy error....
Idiot! :ange-hands-head::frankthink:

i don't like all these excuses. we are where we are because we're shit, not because of some refereeing conspiracy
