Player Mathys Tel

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'll look to you to start the celebrations if he does then, for the good of the team, right?
You’ll need some good eyesight or control of my webcam bud. I could spend both matches calling the players all the cunts under the sun from up here, or sitting with the full kit on screaming my lungs out in support. Won’t make a blind bit of difference to anyone.

I think Tel is hopeless, but I still cheered his goal against Leeds. Also called him a stupid cunt for his cross and penalty giveaway. Don’t think it affected his performance.

I don't think that Tel is hopeless, just the quality of managers he has had before RDZ have been shit and useless...

That said, I still don't think he will be ever be good enough and where we need him to be going forward.

I would like to see him moved in the summer.

Hes definetely not hopeless. And i absolutely have alot more patience with him. Conceding a stupid penalty can happen to every young player. He just has to learn from it.

Most of the games, Tel has been the most exciting player on the pitch. I actually think im starting to like him more now, after what he has showed under De Zerbi. The assist against Aston Villa. His goal against Leeds. His dribbles and crosses. He can become a very very good winger.

He is 21 years old and has been playing in a struggling team under Poch and Frank. And with all the injuries hes now expected to be our main winger in a very tough relegation battle. With our third manager of the season.

:pochwtf:

I'm not going to cut him any slack at all. The most lunatic clearance Iv'e seen, and a nailed on pen every time.

and in the first half he sent a cross across OUR goal which was almost a point blank header.

I can't stand footballers being thick. So he's only 21? Well hes been playing competetive footie for what - 15 years? Can't work out that you dont send a ball like that across your own box? You don;t so spectacular bicycle kick clearances when you dont need to?

Our managers this season have been let badly down by the players' absoulte stupidity at times.

Xavi red card v LFC
Romero red card v LFC

Danso dawdling v Brighton
Tel last night

Christ knows how many points weve blown just with that lot
I’ve constantly said out players must be some of the dumbest around.

VDVs was a shocker, agreed.
But Xavi had started throwing himself around like Gascoigne in the 91 final. And for real nothing situations.
5 mins earleri he'd nearly taken someones leg off with a sliding tackle, I said to my mate - he's gonna get a red if he carries on like that. And the one he got was for a tackle with no upside.
I felt for Frank that day because we took the game to LFC and lloked good for a result.Like with Romero up at MUFC.
The Palace one was a shocker but the writing was on the wall that evening - we were 2nd best even the first 20mins
Surely someone should have had a word with Xavi

Spot on mate. I associate players that can beat men with actually having the ability to take the ball past someone and then have enough time on the ball to do whatever they want next. Tel is not that guy, not got cute enough feet, enough speed, or good enough balance.

Not sure what Tel is to be honest, maybe some sort of striker, but not a very good one.
For what we paid or reduced balanced owed by BM for Kane surely there was a wide forward out there in the entire world we could have good who would have been better suited. I think in total has cost around £40M. Ffs city got cherki for similar amount. Not comparing the positions but just saying we could have a lot better.

You think VDV running back to the line to clear is similar? completely different, VDV cleared in the only way he could, it wasnt an attempt to be flash.

Any decent player with half a brain in their head is going to see Tel shaping up for that nonsense and going to go for the ball as they know it's a guaranteed pen, it's one of the most braindead things i've seen and it's going to possibly relegate us, and you got fans like yourself actually trying to defend it, you deserve relegation.
Agsin all tel had to do was head the fucker or at least stand his ground and wait for ampadu to come charging on him from behind. Foul all day then on tel.

Again...age & experience got nothing to do with them two big mistakes he made. All down to his critical lack of intelligence and overinflated ego.

You wanna be a serious club next season? He must be nowhere near the starting XI. I'd even go as far as saying he gotta be shipped out, at least on loan, but I'd much rather sell him. He's a Chelsea type kid signing, we don't need that.

Why are we talking about Tel?

Fcuking state of this fanbase.

The problems, player-wise absolutely lie at the feet of our more experienced players such as Romero, Van De Ven, Vicario anf Porro, who have largely and collectively demonstrated what happens when your core abrogates or fails to take responsibility.

So much has gone wrong in the last 2 or 3 years but when you have players like the aforementioned putting in the displays they have and shooting off their mouths, in worst case scenarios and with other negative factors you get all we are seeing.

Tel is a product of the sh!t around him, and not the cause of our malaise.

I’m running out of patience with him. I know he’s young and excelled at youth level but i haven’t seem anything to suggest he wants to grab the mantle of premier league player with both hands
I would argue that he is young and still learning. I would also say that i want him to start as he has been put most dangerous player in the front 3.

Not a high bar, but he wants to try to create and take on his man and irrespective of his mistake for the penalty he scored a goal that I don't think Richy or Muani could.
