Match Tottenham Vs Celtic

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It's alright... the BBC are at it as well... not the 'subtle' differences in the two strap-lines below:

note the way we're ALL made aware that is was most definitely and UNDER STRENGTH Celtic team made up of Under-5's and OAP's... and in NO WAY should Spurs receive credit for winning by 5 clear goals... in fact ArseAnal would've scored 10... yet the fact they set up a routinely guaranteed pre-season victory in a tournament at their HOME GROUND every year, not to mention the annual guaranteed victories against Borehamwood (the MIGHTY, unbeaten, European Champions Borehamwood no less) goes largely unnoticed!!
Yes I noticed that too. Spurs were nowhere near full strength either, But because most of our squad are 'names', the BBC chose to omit that fact.

Imagine this: Celtic played with reserves against us in Helsinki in order to prepare for Legia Varsova. Well Celtic lost both the games on aggregate 1-6 against Varsova. Still, because Legia Varsova's one player (Bartosz Bereszynski) was not registered to the competition when he was swapped in at the end of the second game (0-2), Legia Varsova was afterwards deemed to lose the game 3-0. All in all Celtic won the matchup 4-4 on away goals.

Fuck that team.

The Guardian said:
Celtic benefited from an ineligibility ruling in 2011-12 when they were reinstated into the Europa League group stages, despite a qualifying defeat by Sion. The Swiss side were ruled to have fielded five ineligible players after breaching a Fifa transfer ban and failed to reverse the decision during a lengthy legal battle.

Makes you think that teams must get away with fielding ineligible players enough to keep doing it, otherwise what's the point of trying?

what lucky is Celtic! despite they lost 1-6 on aggregate vs. Legia Warsow ,UEFA decided now to qualify at "green table" Celtic ,because the polish team used an ineligible player in the last match few minutes in the end of the match...now the scottish team is in the pool of favourites for the play-off Champions League draw today, what error from the polish team ,imagine their faces now...:pochfacepalm:

someone isn't happy

It is strangely curious that Celtic have had that happen to them twice.....

It's almost like they've suggested to the other team that fielding an ineligible player for the last 2 minutes of games may be financially beneficial to them....

Apparently he was meant to be suspended for the first leg, but as they didn't name him in the squad his suspension didn't register so he was still technically suspended for the second leg.

Something like that. he got a 3 match ban for getting sent off in their last european game of last season. However, they didn't register him for the 2nd qualifying round because of his suspension. Legia didn't realise that because he wasn't registered, the suspension didn't count towards these two games. He didn't play in the 1st leg of the Celtic tie, so they thought he was free to play in the 2nd leg.

Bit daft really as he did miss 3 games because of the suspension too.
